Product Description

Please note: This listing is for the POSTER ONLY, and not for the album. This rare vintage original 1972 Marvel Comics Amazing Spiderman Buddah Records "Rockcomic" promo poster measures 22 1/4 by 22 1/4 inches and features the wall-crawling artwork of JOHN ROMITA SR! It's absolutely the most spectacular Spider-man poster Jazzy Johnny Romita ever drew! VERY IMPORTANT INFO: Unlike the other 1972 Spidey posters that came folded inside the old 33 1/3 lp vinyl record albums, this '72 Spider-man Rock Comic promotional poster is ROLLED AND WAS NEVER FOLDED, making it much more rare, desirable, and displayable than the folded version! It was set aside for over 30 years and escaped being folded during the manufacturing process and avoided being put in the albums during production. And THAT'S what makes this 1970's poster so very sought after! And of course, THIS LISTING IS FOR THE POSTER ONLY, and not for the album. And like the more common 70's posters included inside the album sleeve, this poster has the album info on the back of it saying which actor spoke which character's voice, etc.

The best "children's" record I have ever heard, This can be enjoyed by anyone of any age partly due to the impeccable performance from the actors and foley artists (sound effects). The 5 part story which also features Dr. Strange is interspersed with 70s pop songs as performed by The Webspinners, while dated sounding today they also all have to do with Spidey.

I asked for this and my dad picked it up, the LP also came with a poster of the cover art. Spider-Man was on hand to autograph the poster but I think even at the age of 7 I knew he was only a comic book character.
