weak video and dull naration gives this a very amateur quality. You have to love the cars to make it to the end. the opposite end of the spectrum from the IMAX Super Speedway.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best watched PROJECTED ON THE SIDE OF A TOTER HOME!!, June 17, 2009
This review is from: Vintage Racing (DVD)
I borrowed this from Netflix, I probably would not purchase it, but... maybe.

It would make a great father's day gift.

It's funny to me how you can still tell the formula vee drivers -- they're wearing the same clothes they were in this video.

The computer effects were probably done on an Apple II GS... we're frankly very spoiled these days. In cultural context (1980-1982 copyright date?) it's pretty damned cool. Watching amateur racers unloading their pride and joy at the Bahamanian race made me very jealous.

It's vintage racing, you're not going to get Jerry Bruckheimer quality, you're basically watching the 1980's version of youtube videos. Go into it expecting some really amateur production of amateur racing and you will enjoy.
