I purchased a couple of brooch's for my valentine because she likes them. I was a skeptic on this one because of the price. When I received it I thought it was the nicest looking of the three that I purchased and the others were much more expensive. My valentine said she had an issue with this brooch because it did not rest flat and always pulled to one side. In less than a month the brooch seperated from the pin and broke.

This is a very nice looking broach for the money. It arrived in an attractive box. However, the broach had detached from the base that was supposed to secure it in place for diplay because the pin in back had broken off. I expected this to happen eventually based on reviews that mentioned this problem. Just thought the needed repair would come later rather than upon reciept. As mentioned, it is an easy thing to fix if you have normal manual dexterity and a couple of common tools like needle nose pliers. If the pin fell off while wearing and was lost,though, this would require a trip to the hobby shop and an additional purchase.

This is a good pin, bought for my mom and she liked it. For $12 is not bad but the only thing I've noticed is that it was kind of dull not much shine to it. The box that it came with was nice and saved me the gift wrapping.
