Vintage T shirts are the best kind of T shirts
I bought this book as a form of research since I currently work at a screen printing shop in town and it did not disappoint. Getting to see these old shirts separated by genre was a great way to get some new ideas for designs.

A Disappointment
I bought this book sight unseen off Amazon and was immediately disappointed as soon as I opened the cover. I was hoping for a collection of cool designs that would inspire me for my graphic design work. Maybe one third of the designs are quality (at best) the rest are very mediocre. One page has six variations of the same Mickey Mouse T-shirt with different text. WTF...

I bought this book sight unseen off Amazon and was immediately disappointed as soon as I opened the cover. I was hoping for a collection of cool designs that would inspire me for my graphic design work. Maybe one third of the designs are quality (at best) the rest are very mediocre. One page has six variations of the same Mickey Mouse T-shirt with different text. WTF! There is a T-shirt with the original M TV logo, one with a Pepsi logo, you get the idea. The book is more of a historical catalog than anything else.
The book also has several interviews with losers who collect T's and have hundreds of them and who provided the shirts featured in the book. Who cares, not me!

I really enjoyed this book. The myriad of vintage 70s and 80s tee shirts were very cool to relive and see for the first time. There was even an interview with my buddy Omid in one section of the book featuring classic 80s heavy metal tee shirts!
