It is merely a re-release with bonus material but Jeff Waters DID NOT re-master this title.

The above review is not at all accurate. I am the prducer/engineer that re-mastered much of the Exciter catalogue that IS YET un-released. The cd (violence and force) that this above reviewer talks about WAS NOT MASTERED BY JEFF WATERS (myself). It is merely a re-release with bonus material but Jeff Waters DID NOT re-master this title. The "Waters-re-mastered" Exciter titles will come out in 2005 on Mega-Force Records.

Just want to clarify this mis-information; the NEW Waters Exciter re-masters are far superior to the old original titles.

What moron decided to release this disc without the complete track listing? The omission of songs on a disc that's only around 30 minutes long is inexcusable. After waiting for nearly a decade for this album to be released on CD, I was disappointed in a major way that the song "Evil Sinner" was omitted. I'm sorry I wasted my money on this version, especially if there's a complete version just a few months away from release. C'mon, Megaforce, grow a brain!

"Evil Sinner" can be found on the re-issue of "Heavy Metal Maniac" which you should have already.

Great album, just as good as their first. This is true metal.

EXCITER-"Violence And Force" LP(1984) is one of the true early thrash metal classics of the 80's. It is an essential addition to any true metalhead's collection. Unfortunately, this CD is NOT the definitive version of this Canadian masterpiece. The fifth track on the original LP "Evil Sinner" is MISSING from this CD version. It wouldn't be such a big deal if we were dealing with a weak song, but "Evil Sinner" is my FAVORITE track on the whole album and it is inexcusable that it was left off. "Evil Sinner" features one of the most over-the-top vocal performances in metal history. Truly screaming SO high that even Rob Halford and the boys from Judas Priest would run for cover. So just wait until a complete CD version of "Violence and Force" is released, or better yet, pick up an original on vinyl or cassette. DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE SCREAMING WRATH OF THE EVIL SINNER!!! Long live Dan Beehler!!! Rivaled only by Larry Portelli of BLESSED DEATH for sheer screaming OTT thrash vocal mayhem!!!

Exciter's second album and by far the best. The lead singer is the drummer ala Rush. Fast, pounding and complete 80's heavy. Had the vinyl in 84' and just got the CD in 2010. Thx Megaforce for re-releasing this classic in 2005. Buy it while you can.

I don't know why Exciter never became as big as Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, etc. in the 80s thrash metal scene. They were awesome. Violence & Force, their 2nd album, is incredible. I don't know which I like better between this one or the first album, Heavy Metal Maniacs. I guess it's too close to call. (Note to whom it may concern, the song "Evil Sinner" can be found on the Heavy Metal Maniacs CD.) If you are into bands like Exodus, Slayer, Mercyful Fate... Exciter is a must-listen. I highly recommend Violence & Force to any metalhead.
