5.0 out of 5 stars Very good
In my opinion the violence Jack series was animated and written fairly well.Though i have seen better i am proud to own the whole series.Apparently the first person to write a review about this particular anime never bothered to see the rest of the series. If so,they would have understood the portrayal of Jack as being vengance personified in a world that through a...

1.0 out of 5 stars Sickeningly bad
The box of this video says Go Nagai (the creator of famous Mazinger series and Kekko Kamen) is a "master of macabre". Well, that may have some fair truth to it, but I think he's just a sick old man. Don't get me wrong, I loved Mazinger as a kid, and Kekko Kamen is a decent substitute for a porno, but this is a worst piece of garbage to have his name credited...

The box of this video says Go Nagai (the creator of famous Mazinger series and Kekko Kamen) is a "master of macabre". Well, that may have some fair truth to it, but I think he's just a sick old man. Don't get me wrong, I loved Mazinger as a kid, and Kekko Kamen is a decent substitute for a porno, but this is a worst piece of garbage to have his name credited on (yes, even for HIS standard). Story goes like this: A great earthquake hits Japan, and all those crumbled buildings cover the most of a city, and people trapped under that city do create their own colony and do whatever they want. Now, if that is not the lamest idea to create a world of anarchy, I don't know what is. Basically, what little plot there is is an excuse to have scenes of women gets raped before brutally killed. Other disturbing scenes are such as a child gets his head blown away, a women gets attacked and stabbed to death, a women gets decapitated, and people get sliced to pieces. These kind of stuff isn't well received by many and rightly so. Violence Jack himself is very uninteresting character, as he himself has very little line and shows little, if any, intellect. There weren't many fight scenes, and the ones in there were slow and badly animated. Bottom line is that if you are looking for a title that has any sense of quality, avoid this one at any cost. The most sickening part of this anime is that trash like this actually gets made, since there are people who like this kind of stuff. If you are one of them, get help.

In my opinion its an anime worth watching.
