This review is from: Violent Voices: 12 Steps to Freedom from Verbal and Emotional Abuse (Paperback)
I have read alllll the books from the library on Domestic Violence. I was in an abusive relationship for 11 years. I am now free and have been for 6 years . This is the best book I have ever read on the subject. It is so helpful in helping others who are in the same situation and need someone to talk to. It also is a great book to refer back to when you get stuck there again and it happens from time to time. Abuse is a horrible thing but, when you educate yourself about something, you can understand it and when you can understand it you have way way more power then you think you do.Doing nothing is doing something when you can't do anything at the moment. Learn what it is about you that got you into all of this mess in the first place. Don't worry about other people so much, First things first. Your safety, Your happiness, Your children's happiness and safety,You are a person who needs and should get respect and honor too.
