I have many of Milstein recordings, but this one is something special: First, there's Milstein's deep love and feel for the music, (Dvorak, Glazounov, and Shubert), and especially the romantic and Slavic elements; then, there is his incredible artistry and skill with the violin, and lastly, Steinberg and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra are in top form in these '52 & '57 recordings.
