I was a little wary ordering this TV since it had no reviews, but for the price and the features I decided to go for it. It arrived today, and took only minutes to set up. Be aware, the remote is snuggled in a nook carved out in the outside edge of one of the styrofoam packing pieces. I'm extremely impressed with this set! The picture quality, sharpness and color were all perfect using the default settings. The built-in DVD player takes minimal effort to employ. In other words, it works great! The set has four viewing modes: normal, 16:9, zoom and cinema. I haven't fooled around yet with the USB, S-video and other options, so I can't speak to that. All-in-all, a great little set, easy to use with a sharp, beautiful picture.

I bought this as a gift for my Mother. After hooking up everything for her I tested it. The picture quality is very nice.
So then I went to test the built in DVD player. Unfortunately it couldn't read any DVD I tried in it. I tried three different movies. All of these movies worked just fine in her other DVD players. For some reason though not one of these movies would play at all in this player. I would get an "err disc" or "no disc" error message or it would just do nothing at all. In case you are thinking I put the disc in backwards, I tried both ways, just in case I was doing it backwards.
So, I called the # for Viore listed on the manual for help instead of returning it to the store. What a horrible company! First I waited on the phone for 40 minutes, going from 7th in line to 1st in the hold que and then a message comes on and says that "all operators are busy and I should call back at another time" and then it hangs up on me!!! After 40 minutes they hang up on you!? I was very angry now. I called right back and waited from position 6 to position 4 in the hold que, about 20 minutes this time and then the same message comes on about them being busy and call another time and then they hang up on you! What a horrible company!
I will never buy anything from Viore again!
I just printed my label from Amazon to return this TV/DVD combo and get my money back!

I bought it for a friend of mine and he just loves it. It'a so light so he can move it from room to room. The picture quality is fantastic and he utilizes the DVD player frequently and hasn't had any probems. Great product for a great price and i would recommend this TV for others. Thank you.

Purchased two for the guest bedrooms. Received quickly. Opened the first TV and set up was fast. Used the on screen prompts to load the channels from my cable supplier. DVD worked fine. Sound and picture were also good. No problems on the first TV/DVD. After set up of the second TV I noticed a small red dot in the upper left on the screen. Sent this set back to Amazon which was very easy to do. Got the pre paid return lable and Amazon shipped the new TV very quick. Received the new TV in a few days and set it up. Worked great! Screen was ok as was the DVD player, sound and picture. I am pleased with both of the TV's and the DVD is a plus. I shopped around and found this to be the best deal around. The other one's I came across all had low marks for the volume. This set has plenty of volume and the picture quality is fine! Perfect for a guest room or kids room. Also very light weight and easy to move. Very happy with this purchase and Amazon was great on the return of the second TV. Great customer service!

If you have a problem, your on your own, still dont have a remote to this TV.

You know things break sometimes under warranty but the way a company backs up (or in this case doesn't back up) their warranty speaks more than their product. This is absolutely the worst warranty service out there. The DVD player started refusing to read a DVD. I call the warranty number and I was told to fax my sales information to a another number. I faxed the information 2 times and would call several days later to check - "Oh, we don't have a record of your fax." The third try I faxed all the previous fax verification pages along with a note that if they claim they didn't receive it the third time, I would register a complaint with the CALF AG's office. Oh, they seem to find my paperwork on the third try under threat of a formal complaint. Then I send the TV/DVD player off to Van Nuys, CA and wait and wait and wait some more. I call the toll free number after 5 weeks for a status. They don't know anything about the warranty repair and tell me to send an email to service@viore.com (should be "no service@viore.com"). And I wait and wait some more. Then under threat of again filing a complaint with the CALF AG's office, they respond saying they are "waiting on a part." So after more than 2 months since sending the TV/DVD palyer back; it arrives, only to have a broken remote that doesn't even correspond to the TV! The remote not only doesn't work with the TV, the remote plastic case is obviously damaged! VIORE uses some service called "ESI" for repairs and ESI evidently thinks that sending back a repaired TV with a broken remote that doesn't belong to the TV is "good service". I bought this TV to watch DVDs in my home gym. I am soooooo glad my 46 inch is a SAMSUNG and not a VIORE! Imagine pulling off a 46 inch TV off the wall to go through this?!

I am very disappointed with the quality of the customer service provided by Viore. Not only was the customer service awful, but the quality of the product was terrible. The remote control has not functioned since we received it , however, Viore would not warranty the remote. Also, the closed captioning appears at times and will not turn off. I will never recommend a Viore product to anyone.

We have owned this unit for about a year. We bought this unit to mount solidly on the wall in our 5th wheel trailer bedroom. We wanted a unit that had a DVD player as we often are in locations where TV signals are poor or do not exist. It sets up easy and does what you would expect it to do. I am not sure it does as well on weak signals as others might do.

The picture viewing angle is a little limited. Off the top of my head I think 30 degrees off center would be a practical limit for viewing before the image degrades to unacceptable. That was not a significant problem, but did prompt me to alter the mounting from a flat mount on the wall to a slight angle from wall flush. The sound is good but certainly not a full fidelity through the built in speakers. But it is quite adequate for normal voice and movies. I have not tried the sound through external connections.

It has some nice features, including a signal strength meter (not found on a set we have in our home), and a shut down timer, handy for going to sleep with the TV running. Except for a USB port on the left side, the connections are oriented to plug vertically from the bottom rather than plugging from the back, so this lets you mount the unit flush to the wall with no connection clearance problem. The settings are retained through a loss of power, which for a RV is important. I have operated the unit from different inverters. Older inverters will generate interference, but modern ones should be OK. The unit is a little thick, I suppose about 3-4 inches, but that is due to the incorporated DVD player.

For us, it is quite convenient that the DVD slot is on the left side. Controls and control labels are on the right side, but duplicated in the remote. That was OK for us, as the right side was facing a room corner.

It has one strange attribute. The DVD disk must be inserted onto the player slot with the DVD label facing *AWAY* from you. This may be the problem one reviewer had that gave this set a bad review.

We have had good luck with this unit. Being mounted on solidly the wall in a RV, it takes a fair amount of bouncing around during travel, which does not seem to have any affect on the reliability. I would recommend the unit to anyone that wants a nice lower priced TV/DVD player.

DVD ONLY WORKED FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS, THEN IT STOPPED WORKING. OTHER THAN THAT THE TV IS GOOD

This TV is really nice and its convenient to have the built in DVD player. I am glad I purchased it! =)
