3.0 out of 5 stars Cold War story, March 28, 2008

Viper three is the story that the movie Twilights Last Gleaming was based on where a group of American fugitives take over a missile silo.
The story is well written, and a quick read. The ending is not at all satisfying (I remember it being more definitive inthe movie, probably because the focus groups did not like the novels ending).
There is interesting dialogue in the Oval Office and the characters are reasonably well drawn. Overall, good for a night and a halfs reading.

Not a bad book. Would much rather have seen the movie "Twilight's Last Gleaming", although the book had a different ending.
