Buying this product here instead of at the vet's office saved me a lot of money, and a 30 minute trip up to the next town north of my own. This product is very effective at helping my cats' immune systems overcome the negative effects of herpes, and keeps their sneezing and eye discharge down to a minimum. They both like the taste, and are very good about taking this supplement.

When my cat started having eye discharge, the vet said it was an outbreak of the herpes virus. She prescribed VET Viralys (along with erythromycin opthalmic ointment). I gave Viralys to my cat three times a day for a week. She loved the taste and happily licked it off my finger. After a week, the problem cleared up and has not returned. Highly recommended.

My vet recommended this product for my cat who has chronic FHV. Her nose was always congested, her eyes running, and she used to sneeze constantly. This really cleared up the symptons within a few days. She suggested half dose, or once a day, would be enough for my cat once the symptoms were gone. That helps with the cost, and seems to work as well as the full dose. My biggest surprise is that my cat LOVES it! I just squeeze a small amount on a dish and she licks it right up. So easy, and well worth the expense. Medi-Vet Animal Health has the best prices on Amazon for this product.

I ordered this product along with an antibiotic for my very sick cat. one had been exposed to cat flu (feline herpes or chlamydia virus) and he had infected my older cat before we were aware of his condition. the older cat caught what we suspect is pneumonia but a very very bad upper respiritory infection and probably would have died had this seller not rushed me out an antibiotic and this antiviral medicine with it. ship was super fast and i have the meds in my hand 2 days after my order and am very thankful. we are snowbound in the huge blizzard w 4 ft of snow and cannnot get to any medical care for my poor cats.
i am quite sure my cat would have died had this seller not had these products available and had he not shipped them right out...our thx again to this wonderful seller and im sure that my cats are thankful too..highly recommended seller.

I have been trying to use this product for over 6 months. I used to work in the pharmacy at a vet, and we told clients that the cats will love the taste. Boy do I feel like a liar! My cat hates it, and giving it to her in an oral syringe is traumatizing her. Just ordered the lysine powder based on its reviews, hope she likes it!

I couldn't get my cat to voluntarily eat any of the "treat" versions of L-Lysine. With the gel, I can squeeze a blob onto her fur and then she has to lick it off (very sneaky, I know). I've been giving it too her four about a week now and her eyes already look a little clearer and sneezing has subsided.

My cat needs this is stay healthy. He has herpes that creates 'eye gunk', congestion, and low appetite...and this keeps him from sneezing, and clears him up. His energy level stays normal, and eats more...I dont know what we would do without this stuff.

This gel would be ideal if it were a little thicker and not quite so expensive. I have three cats who all have the feline herpes virus, and I used to use another product and would just put it on their feet and they lick it off, but the manufacturer changed that formulation so I tried Viralys gel. Like I said, if they made it thicker, I could easily slather it on my cats and dispense it to them that way. It's good that this gel is transparent--that way it doesn't stain the carpet if they shake it off. I put a quarter-sized dab on their hindquarters and then they lick it. I recently purchased the L-Lysine powder, for humans (it's a quarter the price of the pet variety) and sprinkle it on their wet food. The downside of using this is that now the cats don't like dry food, and I hate wet food--it's smelly, messy and gives them bad breath. Well, they have to have Lysine somehow so sacrifices have to be made. Again, this gel is pretty good, but too expensive if you have more than one cat and they need to be dosed twice a day.
