"Contrast between Turnus and Aeneas is compelling",
By A Customer
This review is from: Virgil: Aeneid Book XI (Cambridge Greek and Latin Classics) (Bk. 11) (Hardcover)
The 11th book of Virgil's Aeneid has much been accused of being a 'catalogue of misery'. "Not so", say KHVIII Classics. The contrasts and complex attitudes to war certainly have modern relevance. An excellent story of war and the different way it affects the characters. Many comparisons can be drawn with the 90s.
