About the Author
A career employee of the National Park Service, Alan Robinson is active in the development and preservation of coastal and marine parks. He holds a degree in biological oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Alan's research and planning efforts include aquatic studies in North America, Africa, and the Caribbean.
Fritz Henle, whose reputation as a photographer is international, has lived in the Virgin Islands for many years. Mr. Henle's photography was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the National Park on St. John, and he continues through his creative efforts to work energetically for the Caribbean and its people.
