This book is an absolute must for all lovers of olive oil and those who want to learn more about olive oil, its virtues and the many different ways to use it. The German author, who owns with her husband a huge organic olive grove in Tunisia, presents her knowledge in a very interesting and vivid manner. All my questions were answered and you can find very detailed information about olives, olive oil and its production as well as an extremely exhaustive and very comprehensive compilation about its healthy values. You'll also learn what the various grades of olive oil mean, the range of tastes you can expect, how to hold your own olive oil tasting party, and how to choose, store, and cook with the best olive oils. In addition you'll learn how you can use olive oil outside the kitchen. The author gives numerous suggestions and recipes for health and beauty. The Tunisian recipes are easy to cook and delicious. The book is very pleasant to read so you can hardly put it aside and I use it over and over.

I have also learned that a diet with high-quality olive oil has an important positive influence for all ages. I already knew that it's effective to protect against and help lower a high blood pressure and cholesterol level and many more. But it also plays an important part in physical and mental (!) development in young children and even babies.

If you desire to learn everything about the health benefits of true high quality olive oil, this book is definitively for you. It would make a wonderful gift book for the ones you love and care about.
