I can't praise this book high enough!,
By Lech Debski, M.D. (Gdynia, Poland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Virginia Satir: The Patterns of Her Magic (Paperback)
An excellent book! The author describes both general themes and very specific language and behavior patterns that made Virginia Satir's work so effective. There is also a transcription of a complete Virginia's session, with a running commentary from the author. It makes all those themes and patterns very clear to a reader. I can't think of a better learning tool! If you are a psychotherapist of any school or orientation, you should read this book to learn the ways of one of the greatest therapists of the 20-th century. If you are into NLP, you should read it to find a fine example of modelling. If you are interested in Virginia Satir's work, then you have already read it, haven't you? |
