About the Author

Ross Weeks Jr. is executive director of Historic Crab Orchard Museum, Tazewell, the comprehensive cultural heritage museum of Southwestern Virginia and Southeastern West Virginia. He was previously executive director of the state's historic museums at Jamestown and Yorktown, public relations director for the College of William & Mary, and a writer for Richmond Newspapers, Inc.
