Product Description

A Note from the Developer:

Hi, and thanks for taking a look at Virtual Families 2! We have been working on bringing this game over to Android for quite a while, and we are very happy to be able to finally share it with everyone.

Before you skip down to bullet points and screenshots, let me say a few words about this game, and life simulations in general: I love life simulation games. I have always been passionate about designing them, and almost everything that comes out of Last Day of Work is a life sim of some kind. This one, in particular, thrills me so much because it is designed to have a life of its own: unpredictable and so different each time I play it, and each time another player plays it. I love that the story unfolds differently for everyone who plays it, and your experience with the game might be wildly different from your friends' experience.

Designing this type of game, however, has its own challenges. The main challenge is that EVERYTHING in life is a great idea to add to a game like this. There are SO many great ideas, and we simply cannot put them all in at the beginning. So, while I hope the game captivates you as much as it does us, there will inevitably be things that you feel are missing and you would love to see added (tell us!).

Enjoy Virtual Families 2! Please visit our Facebook page to give your own amazing ideas and suggestions, and don't forget to check in on your little family or they will get very sad. :)

With sincere gratitude,
Arthur Humphrey

This game is not really a game where you can sit for hours and play. I check in on my family several times a day. I am on my 12th generation and this game still holds my interest. I won't go into a long discussion about the game, but I will tell you a few tips I have learner throughout my game play that may help you out.

The main goal of this game is to keep the family going so you have to have kids or you can adopt kids for $4000. You will want to pick people who want kids in order to have the best chances at having them. However, you can still marry someone who doesn't want kids and still have them, but it could take a while. The mom after having a baby does not work for a period of two "virtual years." This means your mom's career progress is slower but she can still advance up in her career.

Career advances are important because they increase your person's income. Also, don't be fooled by your person's pay. A person who starts out getting paid $105 a day won't make that much money on promotions. However, if your person makes $15 starting out, their pay doubles, triples, quadruples on each promotion. You are able to earn money faster that way. A way to get promotions faster is to buy the career room upgrades. They start off kind of cheap, but then the cost increases. I highly recommend the upgrades though.

Check in with your family a few times a day to make sure they aren't running out of food. You can find out how much food your family has by tapping on the refrigerator. You have the option of buying organic or regular food for your family. I have not noticed a huge difference in the life expectancy if you feed your family organics versus regular food.

I have had this ap for several weeks and am on my 9th generation. There are an awful lot of reviews that are criticizing this game for the house being a wreck or for it taking too long to earn money. Come on people! Just like in real life, you have to work for things and wait until you have saved enough money before you get the stuff you want. This is not meant to be a game you play quickly and are done with! To me, that is what makes it so good. I come back to it a couple times a day, to be sure there is food, to be sure there are no weeds, to collect any collectibles (another way to earn money), to praise or reprimand my people, to give them appropriate meds if they are feeling poorly, etc.

First, remember that you have to be sure your family has food. Then drop someone on the table to cook the food. They do not all come to the table on their own so you might have to pick them up and drop them on a stool so they will sit down and get fed. They need to be fed in order to have the energy to work. Sometimes you have to pick them up and drop them in their work space (kitchen for cooking careers, office for writing and tech careers, and the workroom for craft and mechanical careers)to make them work. This is how you earn most of your money. The more they work, the more they advance in their career and the higher their pay. What I didn't know when I started the game is that it is to your advantage to have people who work in the same career field and buy room upgrades (like for the office) because acquiring upgrades helps your couple advance in their careers a lot more quickly. I was more concerned about fixing up the house, and so now I have to go back and get these upgrades with the money my folks earn.

So do not listen to people who do not have the patience to play this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE IT! June 9, 2013

This game is awesome! I love it! I lo e the family concept of it! so what you do is... You adopt an adult man or woman and when they get married they have kids and you go on and raise the kids and they go on to be the generations of the family. The sad thing is that the people do age and eventually die. I was so sad after my first people died Im not sure if this is the age for all of them but mine died when they were 60 so still I still don't know if that is as old as they can get.

This game series is so entertaining! It allows the player to be exposed to things that happen in everyday life! Best of all, this app is free if you do not buy any coins.

3.0 out of 5 stars Virtual Families 2: Our Dream House January 10, 2014

This game can be very confusing at times for people so I will answer questions that other reviews asked.

How do you fix a leaky sink clogged toilet/shower?

You drag a person BEHIND the work table (in the workshop) and they should fix it.( Person should be an adult.)

Why do my little people dye everytime I get back on the game?

A virtual year is 3 hours in real life so check on them more than once or twice a day.

My opinion of this this game is: I am Asian and they don't have any African Americans or nearly any Asians (but I don't REALLY care).

The game is fun I forgot what generation I'm on though. And so when people make babies they go to the bed and the woman throws flower
petals and the guy just does some random things with his arms like just moving them around in different directions and stuff. The (sort of) funny part is if the people have a baby, they look like they are jumping on the bed.

One thing is that you should praise your person when they are working on their career when they are young so they work on their career more. What you should do is praise your person 3 times until it says "stop nagging". They will run away but drag them back until their action says "working on career". Praise 3 times again. Repeat process like 10 times. My person was on level 6 in just 4 virtual years.

This game is fun for me and I hope it's fun for you too. Some advice: The home renovation is expensive for some of them so only start out with the cheap ones.

I hope this helped!!!

(But it probably didn't.)

I played this when it first came out and it was a lot better. The careers paid more and you weren't putting out the money like this one. It's also getting quite boring.

It isn't laggy. You just have to have patience to get new generations and to get kids you drag a parent on top of a walking parent and they will try to make a baby for you. Read more

Once the children leave the house, you won't see them until one of the parents die. That's when you choose which child takes over and starts the new generation.

I'm having the same problem on my Kindle Fire HDX. I uninstalled/reinstalled out of desperation, even though I've spent money on upgrades and was 8 or 9 generations in, and it still won't stay open for more than a few seconds. Tested it on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3), and it works fine there,... Read More
