From School Library Journal
Grade 4-6AA much-needed, informative source for research and pleasure. There are many adult books on the topic, but almost none for this particular audience. Pascoe explains what virtual reality is, how it came about, its functions, and what they will be in the future. Its many uses include video games, home decor and design, and, most important, scientific research. The book is well written and easy to follow, and gives readers a good understanding of the subject. The brief list for further reading does not include titles on virtual reality, but the subject does appear in the list of Web pages. Full-color photos and/or illustrations appear on every double-page spread and help to clarify the concepts. A worthwhile purchase.AEvelyn Butrico, Cold Spring Harbor Library, Greenlawn, NY

Review
The books are attractive, with large helpful illustrations on almost every page...The web sites appear to be great jumping off places for young investigators. In these books, children can see real scientists at work in challenging situations. Their concepts of science, scientists, and career opportunities will be expanded --
