You go anointedwilson ... now that's what I'm talkin' about. These women of God have done an excellent job with this new CD and I did not expect anything different. This CD actually deserves more than 5 stars but, since it's the highest rating for Amazon.Com, that's what I am going to give it.

(To add a note about them being a trio, they did not GET RID OF anyone. The first member left the group to pursue family life and education, the second member left for the same reasons. The fourth member to leave, Negelle Sumter participated on this CD. Both departures were done amicably and all members of Virtue, past and present, are still really good friends).

Now back to the CD review - as I stated in my title, the CD is OFF DA HOOK!!! The entire CD is excellent, but I do have my favorites: He's Been Good (both versions), Great is Thy Faithfulness, You've Been Merciful, Till You Believe, God Is Your Source, I Am God, and Down on My Knees.

If you have not purchased this CD yet, go and get it. You will not be disappointed.

To Virtue - may God continue to bless you and your ministry. You guys have done an outstanding job.

Musically, this album is every bit as good as anything you could expect from one of todays top Jazz or R&B acts. Despite the lush grooves and amazing production, this album gives all the glory to GOD. Unlike some other contemporary gospel artist that aren't always clear about whom they are singing, these girls are scripture quoting, holy spirit led, servants of the lord Jesus Christ. Although I enjoyed their last two releases, this album truly speaks to everyone of us who struggles the be the man or woman that God has called us to be. If you don't buy another gospel album this year (O.K. maybe Donnie McKlurkin,Darwin Hobbs, and Spiritual Pieces), You have got to buy this album.

I have been a long time Virtue fan, and I must say that this album deeply blessed me when I first heard it two years ago. Although there have been changes in their lineup (Shavonne and Negelle moved on to pursue other aspirations and be closer to their families), but their mission to praise Jesus and encourage Christians remains the same. Karima and Ebony continue to deliver outstanding vocals, and the addition of Heather helps to add depth to their high soaring vocals. All in all, the Trotter girls have more than enough talent and skill to take Virtue to the next level.

Stand out songs include "Till You Believe", "He's Been Good", and "Down on My Knees". However, every song has something special to share with the listener. One thing I like about Virtue is that their music often shows both the highs and the lows of the Christian experience. This is evidenced by the "God is Your Source" song which begins, "I'll never pray again . . .". That's keeping in real! That's dealing with the human weakness with which every Christian struggles. Yet, they never leave you in the valley because eventually God's mountaintop will be displayed.

Their new CD "Free" is out August 19th, 2003. I will definitely purchase it to see where these amazing women will take us next.

I WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND THIS CD TO ALL THOSE WHO LIKE MUSIC THAT THEY COULD MOVE TO AND THE ONES WHO LIKE HARMONIZING MUSIC. THIS CD HAS EVERYTHING FROM INSPIRITIONAL TO FRIDAY NIGHT PRAISE. I LOVE THIS CD SO MUCH THAT I BUMP IT IN MY CAR ALL THE TIME. AS I SAID, I WOULD REALLY RECOMMEND THIS CD.

...P>Virtuousity is not only a great CD of music it is another step higher in Virtue's ministry of delivering God's message of moral excellence. The cover was beautifully done. What you wear does not determine holiness and at least their shirts aren't hanging off their chests. Amen?

Virtue was a great CD from the first song to the last. The producers did a great job, Virtue did a great job, and GOD did a great job. These women did a great job on showing how beautiful God is.

The songs I REALLY liked were: He's Been Good [original and remix], Great is thy Faithfulness, I am God [read the lyrics!!], Can't Believe, Gotta Worship, Till You Believe, Down on My Knees, and Something About the Way [a great song that turned a wordly message into a message about the love of God!]. Overall, you can tell this CD was anointed and blessed.

To Virtue: Keep taking music to it's highest potential, which is magnifying and exhalting God...

Collecting Christian music is a hobby of mine (a good one to have since I'm lead the praise and worship team at my church), and Virtue is one of several groups that I have all the albums to (Cross Movement is another). It's obvious they've follwed the current trend of having multiple producers on their album in order to bring new sounds. Quite honestly, it works in some cases, in others it doesn't work as well, though they're still enjoyable. I tend to like the original mix of "He's Been Good" more than the remix. I definitely like "God Is Your Source." The new member, Heather, does an excellent job when she sings. I didn't think they'd find another lady who sang that deep and still sounded good. This album is good, but I tend to think their first was still the best. These ladies (I speak of all five who have been in the group) each have excellent voices, and they don't need all the fancy production tricks. The appeal of their first album was keeping it simple, letting their vocal harmony be the focus. Songs like "In Your Name" and "You Are Worthy" from their first release, and "Now's The Time" and "Get Ready" from their second showcased their voices beautifully. From this new one, "Great is Thy Faithfulness" is virtually the only song that did that. Don't get me wrong, I love gospel music I can bob my head to, but I can tell where Virtue's strength is: the simple tracks that focus on their strong harmony. This is a great CD to have, but it will be even better next time if Virtue goes back to their strong points.

I must admit, I haven't been disappointed by a Virtue album yet.
This album was no exception. However, I did find myself fast-forwarding through a few of the songs. Most notably, the ones toward the end-"I Am God". "Can't Believe" and "Down on My Knees"
have to grow on me, so the jury is still out on these two songs. The rest of the album is bangin'. Virtue shows that the name of Jesus and tight beats do go together. "Till You Believe" is an excellent tune and inspires you to believe in the power of Jesus. "He's Been Good" and "Gotta Worship" are sizzling hot. I love these two cuts. Virtue did a wonderful job, the harmony is not as tight as it usually is, but they lost two members and picked up one. It will take a while for them to form the same chemistry they had on the former albums. Their harmonic blend is still something to smile about though. If you were contemplating buying this album, go ahead it's worth it.

"Virtuosity" is a project that I've been waiting for! When you experience the ministry of such a group, the expectancy for the next project goes to another level and Virtue has taken us there with "Virtuosity". I've even met them in person and they are truely excited about God and how He's using them to spread His love and His Word!

I have been a fan of Virtue since their first album and I have to say that this is their best album yet. The other two were wonderful, don't get me wrong, but this one is more complete. There are no just "filler" songs. Each one can stand alone and each one contributes to the wholeness of the album. Of course, I do have my preferences like "He's Been Good", Somethin' About the Way", "I Am God" and "Never Too Late". The ballads are GORGEOUS and the up-tempo ones make you wanna dance and praise the Lord. This group just keeps getting better. I appreciate the other reviewer who cleared up the 1st group member change. And to the reviewer who said they needed jackets to cover up their shoulders- How old ARE you? Because a woman is a Christian she's not allowed to show her shoulders? What sense does that make? Their outfits are neither provocative nor indecent and their clothes do not take away from what they sing.

Well what can I say but this cd is da bomb! Virtue has proven again that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them! This cd is the best of Virtue to me! Til you Believe is my favorite song, though i love them all!I have their other two albums and I love them also, but there is something about this album that stands out! Virtue I think you all are doing an excellent job! Keep up the good work and the tight vocals! To anyone who is thinking of buying this cd, don't hesitate any longer! It will bless you! Thank you Jesus for blessing me with a beautiful Cd!
