The polish was easy to apply, and buffed up nicely with a clean cloth, but overall it really doesn't seem to do much. My high-gloss black acoustic guitar looked a little shinier for a day or 2, and then went back to the way it looked before... lots of finger marks and smudges on it. I'm not sure what benefit this stuff really has, but at least it does no harm... doesn't leave the guitar feeling slippery or waxy or smelly. I'd say give it a try and see how your instrument reacts... and perhaps over time it preserves the finish in some way I don't yet realize.

Basic cleaner, didn't remove swirl marks, etc. You're probably better off buying a basic carnuba wax for that purpose. For general cleaning of a nitro finish, the Dunlop or Gibson cleaning kits are cheaper and equally effective.
