These cover probably every known problem that could hit your computer from the outside. Each part is very easy to install, and each runs in the background. They do not slow down the computer, unlike most other antivirus internet security programs. When they are scanning or updating, you never know the difference since they do not cause a slowdown. This one feature is worth so much to those of us who are on the computer for hours in a day.

It has been said my many for so long that MACs can't get viruses. That's a myth. Before I got the Intego Bundle, I was on the internet looking for a recipe, and from one site in probably one second I got 4 Trojans. I feel very secure now, knowing that I have a very highly rated program to catch all these kinds of intrusions.

I did a lot of research before selecting Intego's protection suite. The virus scan says my machine is clean. I don't know how or why, but my previously somewhat sluggish Mac is now lightening fast again! This is VERY noticeable and makes me extremely happy! (I'm sure Windows computers will find the same quality here as I have).

The instructions are better than excellent with lots of background about all the bad stuff out there - malware, trojans, worms, viruses, etc etc. Very in depth. One can read it all before installing, or just get started with their quickstart and go back as needed.

The interface is amazing, with a super cool dashboard revealing information like how fast my computer is running using a needle type gauge, details about cookies and my online habits in the three different browsers I use, and lots lots more.

I have not gotten too deeply into the spam program yet, but my greatest concern was/is being able to safely do business online. A few months ago someone got my credit card information online after having my email account closed! They charged over $3000 before I was red-flagged by my credit card company. I just want to make sure I'm safe, and I'm hoping this will help.

Will report back in a few months, but as of day 1, this excellent, user-friendly set-up & scan has REBORN my Mac.

I have never, until today, felt compelled to post a review for any product on this site. However, this Intego suite left such a sour taste in my mouth that I felt it was necessary to post. Virus Barrier seemed to work well, as it picked up a few suspect cookies and 1 Trojan and deleted them. Net Barrier was very customizable and offered tons of options. HOWEVER, these products just killed the web browsing on my 2008 2gb dual core MB Pro. I use Firefox, and these products crashed it, very quickly, on almost every use. I also tried it with OS X Opera Stable 9.6 and beta 10.2, and while it did not crash it continually (just every so often), it severely slowed down my browsing speed consistently. Additionally, when I installed new programs while having the security suite installed, these new applications would almost always lock up in the installer right after mounting, during the "finishing" stage. These things were not coincidences, as I uninstalled the whole Intego suite and everything returned to normal. Net and Virus Barriers product features seem to be great, but I need a fast and consistent internet connection, and fast installation as I cannot lose valuable time in my life (I'm a law student, and am researching and taking notes constantly). For me, the last thing that I need are slow downs and crashes; that is why I switched from Windows. In my opinion then, the fully featured Intego suite does not make up for it's problems. Sorry; I really did want to like it as I wanted to be extra-safe from harmful internet threats.

I switched from PC to Mac a few months ago and bought this product out of an abundance of caution. Suffice to say that it beats any like product I ever had for the PC. Installation was a snap. Scans are very fast and Updates are both provided on a timely basis and execute quite rapidly on the Mac. If you worry about viruses and Trojan Horses on your Mac get this excellent 2-in-1 product.

The only reasons I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars is that it detected a corrupted (NOT virus-infected) file on one of my Macs and couldn't delete it though I was able to do so manually. A minor glitch.

I've run Symmantec/Norton for years but decided to try the Intego package on my new MBP. The package is generally pretty nice -- no issues with Snow Leopard, performance, etc. -- but I am a bit annoyed that I have to reboot every time I download AV and firewall updates. I also haven't found a way to tell the software to update signature files in the background without an annoying pop-up (probably because the updates require a reboot...)

When my subscription is up, I'm probably going back to Symmantec.

Works in the background and has no effect on the speed of my MacBook. Gives me piece of mind. This product proved to me it was worth it. Yesterday I went to a friends house. He just bought a new PC Laptop and what having problems with his new network. He said it wasn't working anymore. I opened my MacBook and it instantly found his network and I logged on. This Virus Barrier immediately notified me that the network was experiencing an intruder and blocked it but allowed me to continue to use the internet. His PC with Norton informed him of nothing. I'm a happy camper. He's not.

I like the program. It's fast and it doesn't slow down when I'm online. My only question is this program hasn't found any virus in my IMac and Mac computers and we were without the anti-virus program for at least 6 months before buying the Intego. I guess the Apple sales rep is right about the Mac computers don't get any viruses...I hope.

So far the product is working. Of course having it for only one month, can't really evaluate the product itself, other than the install went smoothly and now just have to rely on the manufacturer's say-so. It is however, the same anti-virus program sold by Apple stores, so that gives me some confidence. The price was good, shipping was only OK as the product was poorly packaged and the box was damaged when received. So, what can I say. Most other products were much better packaged. For that I have to give this a 4 star rating, as my expectation is that a product looks like it's not been touched when received.

They both seem to work as specified. Installation was easy. I have not seen any evidence that malware has invaded my computer since using these products.
