I've always loved this product for relieving my dry, allergy eyes.

I have used Visine for many years and trust their products but it is best to try the new products to be sure they are satisfactory.

The Visine worked very well , was quite easy to get the drops in and it got rid of the red eye and irritation instantly.

Unlike instore shopping, you will not be able to see the expiration date of the products you buy online.

I bought 2 in May 2005 and the Visines I received both have expiration date of June 2005 - a full 30 days to use the two 1oz bottles! I tried to return them, but was told that I needed to pay for the return shipping cost. Just something to keep in mind.

I use it only when I stay at hotels - which have far drier air than at home. This edition of Visine does relieve eye dryness, fatigue & redness somewhat but it irritates my eyes a lot more when first applied than 'Visine Tears Natural Tears Formula Lubricant Eye Drops' (ASIN: B0019GAXAG or http://ASIN.cc/3Y3tjf) - which I've found to be more effective at relieving dryness but less so at relieving redness (which is more of a cosmetic condition in my view)

My eyes have been irritated lately (dry climate, lack of sleep, forgetting to run my humidifier), so I’ve been using these drops the last few days. As the packaging claims, they are fast-acting, the first time I used them I was able to relax my tired eyes. Very glad to have them.

I like the size and shape of the bottle, but the drops come out too fast. I tip the bottle, and without even squeezing it’s already dripping on my face. So I end up using almost twice as many drops as I mean to.

I got these Sep. 2014, the expiry date is Feb. 2017.
Active ingredients: Dextran 70 0.1% (Lubricant); Polyethylene glycol 400 1% (lubricant); Povidone 1% (lubricant); tetrahydrozoline HCI 0.05% (redness reliever).
Inactive ingredients: benzalkonium chloride, boric acid, edentate disodium, purified water, sodium borate, sodium chloride.

Visine is always my go-to eye drop when I need to soothe irritation. This particular line of Visine eye drops are best suited for red, irritated eyes. Though they're not advertised as allergy drops, they also help a great deal with eye irritation due to allergies.

This used to be my go-to eye drop for my dry, irritated eyes. I am on a computer or a tablet for the majority of every day, and those hours spent looking at the screen and not blinking enough made my poor eyes dry and red. So I use a LOT of eye drops and have probably tried every brand. What I'm mainly looking for is immediate relief of that dry, scratchy feeling. Oh, and did I mention, I do wear contacts (the soft kind), so I need an eye drop that can be used with them in place. For years, I've used Visine products and happily ordered this one and used it several times a day - a drop or two in each eye at a time to "soothe, refresh and cool". I used it up quickly, and the price is right if you need to replace it often.

Then, I went to my eye doctor. He diagnosed me with dry eyes and a couple of other problems. When he asked what eye drops I was using, he told me that I should NEVER use a drop that contained the ingredient tetrahydrozoline -- which, unfortunately is the agent that "gets the red out" in this type of Visine product. Apparently the 3 lubricants contained in this type of Visine are not strong enough to counteract the drying effect of the tetrahydrozoline and he suggested I not use it anymore.

Well, now that you know what one optometrist thinks about that ingredient, I'd suggest that you will find this Visine effective for redness removal, and if you don't suffer from severe, constant eye dryness, perhaps it will be fine for you to use. If you do have issues that don't seem to be relieved, I think a visit to your own eye doctor might be in order. Using drops like this constantly might be masking a serious condition that requires more intervention. This product is not an effective treatment for serious dryness or redness caused by something other than a local irritant or temporary annoyance.

It's a Visine. Some reviewers reported some type of allergie with some Visine product. This is not my case. I have never had any problem with Visine eyer-drops. Just read the components and see if you is not allergic to any of them.

Visine and I have had a long relationship. You could find bottles in my backpack, bedroom, glove compartment from high school through college. Visine made it possible to cope with school while working pleb jobs without getting expelled or fired. Once the degree was obtained and career started, the need for Visine to "get the red out" diminished.

Years later I saw my ophthalmologist when my eyes started looking red and feeling like there was sand in them after a day at work. He blamed it on tens of thousands of hours staring at computer screens and called it "Dry Eye." A specific brand of lubricating drops that he recommended solved the gritty feeling, but not the redness, so I started using the lubricating drops with my old cure for red eye, Visine.

In 2012, I was on the road and realized I had packed no drops. The truck stop / gas station we stopped at in the middle of nowhere offered one choice: Visine's "Advanced Redness & Irritation Relief Lubricant." Since then there's been no reason to buy any other brand.

I did not know these were available to buy at Amazon.com until I was offered a half ounce bottle to review. I can easily give Visine Redness Reliever Eye Drops, Advanced Relief, 0.5 oz (15 ml) five stars because I already love the product. My one caveat is to compare prices. I get the one ounce bottle, 100% more in quantity, for only 25% more in price.
