Our Generation Slapped with a F*&King X,

This cd changed my entire opinion of Hardcore music...
The first time I heard this cd it blew me away. So much agression and anger yet so complex. I actually heard "ZoneZero" on a snowboard compilation cd and my jaw dropped... I had to buy it. The album starts with "Element" and it is quite possibly my fav. hardcore song of all time. There is something like nine riffs before they repeat one. There are so many highlights on this album the formentioned "Element" and "ZoneZero" but also "Through my Eyes", "D.T.O", and "Excess" are all highlights of this Magnum Opus. Everything the Vocals,(and Lyrics)Guitars, and espeshilly the bass and Drum work is stunning. Get this cd you will not be sorry. True essences of a hardcore masterpiece.,

In the mid 90's you seem hardcore acts like snapcase, candiria, earthcrisis etc... But none of those bands can touch vod's ability if they tried!I bought this selftitle album the day it was release exect and i still pretty much listing to it and still enjoy it very much so and more then i enjoyed it before---Every track sounds perfect and crystal clear production as well. Strictly for pure hardcore lovers out there. Top hardcore bands in the mids 90's are "candiria", "vod" , and,"earth crisis" can't get any better then that right there!

Vision Of Disorder...Through My Eyes,

Lets see...This album is a masterpiece. Its uncut, raw hardcore heavy metal. If you do not like hardcore screaming and raw music sadly this is not the album for you. The album starts off with "Element," an extremely hardcore track with awesome vocals and amazing guitar-work. I've seen this track become very popular after I've let a few of my friends hear it. Another great song is "Through My Eyes," as above mentioned in my title. I chose this title, because this is one of my favorite tracks from this album, or better yet this band. I don't know why this track appeals so much to me. But the day I bought it I was hooked worse then a withdrawn junkie with 20 dollars and no dealer. This track includes the lyric "Pull the fukking trigger watch your head combust." Thats enough said right there!"Divide". What can't I say about "Divide"? Its a short, fast and angry track. If you love deep screams you'll crank this one up. And to my favorite and ending track of the album. Gloom. Its simply beautiful. I'm breathless when I hear it. Breathless...I can't even put it in words....... In Conclusion. This is definitely real music. Its not Nu-Metal. Its not even Metal. Its just Real Music. This album or any other album by them will never die. Its powerful and raw, hardcore and angry. Real emotions...Real musicianship...Its beautiful...Plain and simple... Bry-Bry(Gangsta Style)

Awesome hardcore,

Is there another album with a more memorable beginning? RISE! This is my favorite VOD album. Tims banshee screams kill, and his singing voice adds a harsh contrast. The vocals are alittle jacked up, but the guitars are still heavy. This album has lots of awesome, smooth, distorted riffs. The drums are good, with a few creative beats. My favorite tracks are Element, Viola, and Zone Zero. Definitly check this out.

THIS is hardcore,

If you wanna know what hardcore is, you have to go to where hardcore lives- NY. The NYHC scene has been kickin' total a$$ for quite some time now, and it won't go away. This album basically defines that sound; the sound that wanna-be's like 'corn' and 'lamp baskets,' or whatever they're called, are trying to touch upon and exploit so they can sell to a mass audience. It's the sound of a thriving, perpetual, angst-ridden youth with the power and clarity that so many 'hardcore' bands simply cannot achieve. If you have a lack of ripping and screaming, and heaviness and moshability in your CD collection, this will fill that void for a while until you think you're ready for some more NYHC, the ONLY HC. (...by the way, they're live show is one of the best out there.)

VODs best cd, true Hardcore,

Vision of Disorder is one of the best hardcore bands out there right now. As there debut album I was totally blown away by Tim Williams vocal style. A mix of screaming along with a singing voice that fits in with the music. Couple this with the best drummer I've ever heard and 2 guitars going full blast and you have pure Hardcore.

VOD is real NYHC. But the real gems are the '93, '94 & '95 demo's. Really rare but if you google around enuff you can find it. Hint = severed forever. Irving Plaza on 11/16/2008, get your tix. Also, VOD DVD coming out on the 10th too. I cant believe people are saying that For The Bleeders and Imprint are better than this album? You got to be kidding me? This album and Still are the only VOD albums as far as im concerned! VOD is from Strong Island, not Long Island :)

I use to jam this on the headphone's in the wood's as well..good memorie's!! What is really neat is V.O.D. were very much..V.O.D.!!! I cant really say anyone compare's to this album..maybe the CRO-MAG's..but only for what the album represent's..FRUSTRATION!! The whole New York vibe is very present here..just like with CARNIVORE/TYPE O, LIFE OF AGONY..ect! BUY IT..ESP IF YOU ARE 15 AND HATE SCHOOL!!! I WAS THE SAME WAY..WELL I STILL HATE SCHOOL..BUT AM DONE WITH THAT ZOG RIDE!! YOU WILL BE TO ONE DAY!!

There's not much hardcore bands that made me say "oh man, those guys can play" that was untill i heard about vision of disorder...These guys have been writing amazing lirycs, they have a killer production , and, their agression is hard to keep up with, even for some one who loves the most brutal form of extreme deathmeal/grind. Vod's selftitle is my fav album by them because of the amazing music quality and the passion of the music. Hardcore doesn't get any better then vod. I recommend!
