When we opened the package we noticed a strong chemical odor. The lamp irritated my husband's hands and the odor "sank in" to his skin. We couldn't stand to be in the same room as the thing and had to put it out in the garage until we packaged it up to return it. Very bad.

The light works pretty well, I bought two of them, one of the chargers seemed to have a loose connection, but the big issue is the smell.

I am not sure what kind of plastic these are made of, but they literally stink - tried cleaning them and washing them, but the smell just will not go away . . . and if you handle them, like one would use a work light, well, then your hands stink as well.

There was a strong chemical smell when I first opened it and it did take awhile for it to leave. I have been using it for over a year because it is convenient and handy. I constantly use it. The stronger light is a little directional. Well worth the price.
