If you like "otherworldly" suspense and romance, this is a good read!,

This review is from: The Vision (Mass Market Paperback)
Genevieve Wallace is a profesional diver in the Florida Keys and while on a dive sees a woman obviously dead but seeming to speak to her saying "Beware." Nothing like that has ever happend to Gen before and she is totally spooked. Since she is normally very level-headed and professional the other divers and cops called in search for the body but none is found.Thor Thompson, the leader of the operation to find the mid-19th century ship Marie Josephine, is a very practical and logical guy and is not only skeptical of Gen's report of a body but also concerned that she is a diver who will panic plus affect the rest of the crew. Despite himself he finds that he is attracted to her -- on a purely physical plane, of course!! A body of a woman in white with blond hair is washed up on the beach. Gen begins having "dreams" of her ghost and pirates and waking up soaked with seawater and as she and Thor start to get involved, she with her friend Audrey's help brings in Adam Harrison and the Blackhawks, Nikki and Brent, from a previous novel of Ms. Graham's "Ghost Walk." Soon the hunt is on but is it for treasure? To put a ghost to rest? Or find a serial killer? Some holes in the plot but lots of twists and turns to make an enjoyable read!

A really great book!,

I just finished reading this book and it was very good throughout the entire book. There were times that I couldn't put it down. The times when I could were when I was going to bed or going to work. I have enjoyed several of Heather Graham's books with no disappointments.

This was one of Heather's best books yet. I love the way she brings in characters from her other books.Ms. Graham has a way of making her characters come to life. In each and every book, no matter where the setting is placed, I would love to visit. I love to read for entertainment. A Heather Graham book never fails to give me that pleasure.

A paranormal romantic suspense, Graham dives right into the story here with Gen Wallace encountering the body of a floating woman underwater at her newest scuba diving job. When she surfaces in a panic, the rest of her crew searches for evidence of a body, but no one can find anything. Her new co-worker, Thor, a salvage worker, doubts her ability to be a responsible dive partner and worker, but Gen's reputation precedes her and she is allowed to continue on the dive. When Thor and Gen overcome their differences and end up lovers, Thor begins to believe the unnatural events that Gen encounters as he experiences a few himself. When the body of a woman surfaces, Gen's story is given some credence until she denies that it is the same woman. When more bodies are discovered, and the divers discover reports of more missing women, Gen and Thor unearth the paranormal ties to Gen's ghost and the grisly discoveries, as well as a newfound passion for one another.

Genevieve Wallace is an expert scuba diver, she is also a "conch", this is ususlly someone born and raised on Key West. She is a member of Deep Down Salvage, and they are hunting the wreck of the Marie Josephine. On one of the first dives she sees a woman with outstretched arms, the woman is tied to an anchor of some sort. While looking at the women, her eyes open and her mouth whispers, "beware". Gen swiftly rises and tells her crew members about the woman, they search and search but find nothing.Thor Thompson the leader of the other ship working with Deep Down Salvage sees her distress and thinks she has a loose screw. However, after a body is discovered on the beach he believes Gen. Unfortunately Gen knows it is not the same woman. As the dives continue strange happenings take place both out at sea and back on Key West. Thor and Gen come to believe that there is a connection between the murders and the wreck they are recovering. Can reincarnation explain why she and Thor are seeing events from the time of the wreck and today? The ghost leads Gen to a small casket filled with papers. Because they were sealed in the casket in pig bladders, they may be able to read them. There were some holes in the ending, but you can probably fill them in yourself. Still not up to her usual standard.

excellent paranormal romantic suspense thriller,
This review is from: The Vision (Mass Market Paperback)
Off the Florida Keys, a professional deep sea diving team seeks to locate the Marie Josephine, a nineteenth century vessel that sunk nearby allegedly with a fortune in pirate booty. One of the team members experienced diver Genevieve Wallace notices what appears to be a dead woman floating at about fifty feet below the surface. However, no one else see the corpse and other dives in the vicinity prove fruitless.Fellow diver Thor Thompson not only scoffs at her claim, he does not trust her as he believes she is a phony glory hound. However, he admits he also is attracted to her while Josephine feels the same way much to her chagrin as he has been nasty. However, he changes his mind when he finds Gen soaked with seawater that should not be on her let alone near her or inside her room. When another woman is found dead, Thor knows Gen was telling the truth that she saw a corpse, but now fears a killer is murdering females even as his beloved is beginning to "see" clearly what no one else can see. Heather Graham is at her best with this excellent paranormal romantic suspense thriller that grips readers from the moment of the first sighting and never slows down until the final confrontation. The action-packed story line is enhanced by the wonderfully interwoven description of the area and a strong support cast including those seemingly from beyond. The lead couple is an excellent pairing as their relationship metamorphoses once Thor begins to give into his desire and totally alters as he believes Gen. This is quite a pleasurable treat for sub-genre readers. Harriet Klausner

The gift of sight comes at a dangerous price...When Deep Down Salvage begins the hunt for the Marie Josephine, it seems like any other dive...until Genevieve Wallace sees the vision of a dead woman in the water, her vacant eyes boring into Genevieve's very soul. Terrified and confused by what she saw, Genevieve is haunted by the memory, but no one--including her diving partner, Thor Thompson--believes her. When a dead woman washes up on the shore, everyone assumes this is Genevieve's "vision," but Genevieve knows the truth: the dead woman is not the ghost she saw but another victim of the same brutal killer. Sensing that the threat of death is coming closer, she and Thor are forced to acknowledge things that can't be explained, but simply are. Somehow they have to link a violent past with a present-day mystery or risk losing themselves in an abyss of terror. Something sinister lies beneath the surface...

Sometimes you think you see things, but just know you have to be mistaken. Heather Graham takes that eerie feeling and crafts this excellent paranormal romantic suspense in a tropical locale dear to this reader's heart. Now, when I cruise Duvall Street or gaze out at the turqoise Atlantic, I'm drawn into thinking about ghosts of the dead wanting to be vindicated! A must read!
