This review is from: The Vision Quest Book One: The Age of Light (Vision Quest Book 1) (Bk. 1) (Hardcover)
Thank you Deborah Pratt for creating something to fill the VOID (fellow readers of TVQ will know the pun is thoroughly intended) in the realm of spiritual scifi. Can't wait for book two. Highest recommendation!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sci-Fi for a not so Sci-Fi guy, December 20, 2009

This review is from: The Vision Quest Book One: The Age of Light (Vision Quest Book 1) (Bk. 1) (Hardcover)
Ok, so I don't normally read science fiction, but a friend suggested I pick this one up and I am very glad I did. The story was solid with very believable characters and a very conceivable plot for a sci-fi series. I enjoyed the authors writing style and can not wait to read the other books in the series...actually, I have read the second one and will be posting a review on that one as well.

Very good job Deborah Pratt

5.0 out of 5 stars THE FUTURE IS NOW..., September 29, 2008
This review is from: The Vision Quest Book One: The Age of Light (Vision Quest Book 1) (Bk. 1) (Hardcover)
The future is indeed now, and it is here in, THE VISION QUEST:BOOK ONE! What a terrific blend of the familiar, the scientifically probable, and the glimpse of what could be. This is a wonderfully crafted story, with fully developed characters that we can root for. And, as in life, it has the sharp sting of unexpected loss.

Good literature is the time machine we all like to ride, and, THE VISION QUEST, sends us on a journey to an era that is well worth visiting.

I thought that my addictions were all behind me until I read, BOOK ONE. I am now hooked, and look with great anticipation to my next dose with, BOOK TWO-THE ODYSSEY.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Mythic Science Fiction, October 14, 2007
This review is from: The Vision Quest Book One: The Age of Light (Vision Quest Book 1) (Bk. 1) (Hardcover)
This a wonderful, mythic adventure, à la Stars Wars. I was enthralled by Lazer and his friends, and their quest to bring a new era and consciousness to their bizarre, future world. I also thoroughly enjoyed Lazer's love affair with Kyla. I'm saving this book. It's something my baby daughter will love when she's old enough to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars On My Vision Quest, October 8, 2007
This review is from: The Vision Quest Book One: The Age of Light (Vision Quest Book 1) (Bk. 1) (Hardcover)
I'm reading The Vision Quest now - finding it interesting. I am looking forward to the online interactive aspect on the web site. Pratt has created a world that is beckoning us to become a part of it. Can we change the world? I'd like to believe we can! Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Innovative and Entertaining New Sci-Fi, October 15, 2007
This review is from: The Vision Quest Book One: The Age of Light (Vision Quest Book 1) (Bk. 1) (Hardcover)
The Vision Quest is a hugely imaginative work, presenting a captivating and deep new world to get utterly lost in. I personally really liked the post-distopian approach of the world, giving a nice balance between the horror or tragedy and the hope of rebirth.

The main cast of characters are all accessible and multi faceted, with this book setting them up for a journey that will no doubt captivate a huge audience and lead the series to become a prominent force in science fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Vision Quest soars!, October 15, 2007
This review is from: The Vision Quest Book One: The Age of Light (Vision Quest Book 1) (Bk. 1) (Hardcover)
I love this book! So full of science fact and future. From the opening moments, the thrill ride was on. By the time these wondrous characters got to Tosadae, I couldn't put it down. Where's book 2!
