2.0 out of 5 stars God's handywork
This book is one of the best ones that I have ever read. It gives you an insight to what the plans of God are, and how to obtain them. It will help you to evaluate yourself and see where you are in God. It was a blessing and a real eye opener for me

This review is from: The Vision A Two-in-one Volume Of The Final Quest And The Call (Hardcover)
This is a great book on what is happening in Heaven, with angels, with Christians in Heaven, and with the Redeemed on earth, and with God Himself. Rick Joyner's vision, whether real or analogy, will help you find hope and understanding about what God is doing "behind the scenes" and where the Church on earth is(spiritually speaking). You'll gain insights into the effects of sin in your own life on yourself, others, and your eternal rewards; and you'll have a greater desire to please and serve God more. So many times I had to put the book down and either worship God for His greatness, or to fall prostrate in repentance for hidden sin in my life that this book made me aware of. I have a personal library of (literally) thousands of Christian books and, outside of the Bible, this book is one of two that has changed my spiritual life the most. The other book is The Heavens Opened by Anna Rountree.

5.0 out of 5 stars Joyner has a gift - and this book shares that gift with us, November 8, 2002
This review is from: The Vision A Two-in-one Volume Of The Final Quest And The Call (Hardcover)
The two books are really written with the second being the logical sequel to the first, so don't think this is just two different books. Fascinating. Intricate. Will give you plenty of motivation to assess where you are, spiritually.

5.0 out of 5 stars For those who hunger & thirst..., July 17, 2002

The bible in 1 John 4:1, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." I fervently encourage that you do just that with this book. Because I know in my heart that you will feel the Spirit speaking to you from the pages of this book. The only reason I'm writing this review is because I want every Christian to experience the joy of knowing & growing in the LORD that I experienced more fully in reading this book.

I believe Rick Joyner to be a great man of God, but the man himself is not important. The message of this book has nothing to do with Rick Joyner, believe me, the Spirit will be showing you thing in your heart and there is noway you will put down the book unchanged.

I don't quite know what else to say to adequately encourage that you make this purchase. In fact, the only argument I can find for NOT purchasing this book is that everything within it can be found in the pages of your bible. From the words and actions of Jesus that are recorded in the gospels to words of biblical prophets (especially John's vision in Revelations) you have the main substance of this book. Joyner's vision of the state of the church today, the blindness of Christians, the need for humility and above all love of others worthy of the love Christ has for us, will give you a new hunger and thirst.

In fact, the book will make you want to read again the Gospels, so you can fall in love all over again with a most wonderful Savior. Just buy the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars The "Vision" will right your ship!, August 2, 2005
This review is from: The Vision A Two-in-one Volume Of The Final Quest And The Call (Hardcover)
Rick Joyner's book, The Vision, will challenge you. Beyond challenging you, the Spirit of God will grab you, take your breath, shake you up, and squeeze tears from your eyes that have needed shed for years. Take your box of comfort and burn it. It is time to get real and reverently fearful of our Lord, Jesus and walk with Him like we really mean it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Total Exposure, July 24, 2004
This review is from: The Vision A Two-in-one Volume Of The Final Quest And The Call (Hardcover)
When Jesus walked on the earth, very few people grasped what it was he tried to say, and those that did grasp only caught on to it a little bit. Even today, the enemy has done a great job of keeping us from seeing what God really was saying.

The message in this book, from start to finish, totally uproots the false idea of God that the church has blindly accepted. Once you've read it, and hopefully caught on to what it was saying, you'll understand what the Bible is saying so much more. This book was never intended to replace the Bible, but rather it shocks your world so radically that the Bible will begin to be more clear. If you read the Bible and it just seems like dead words on a page, try reading this -- it'll bring out so many things in the Bible that have never made sense.

A combination of two of the most powerfully anointed books written in recent Christian history. A humbeling experience to say the least and one that will make you go... "Hummmmm..." Fall in love with the Savior all over again, learn to love all over again, learn! The words of this text will remain with you and continue to mend your heart probably for the rest of your life!

5.0 out of 5 stars VERY TOUCHING AND THOUGHT PROVOKING: POWERFUL!, February 18, 2001
This review is from: The Vision A Two-in-one Volume Of The Final Quest And The Call (Hardcover)
The vivid picture that Rick Joyner begins painting on the first page of this wonderful allegorical work, is still as colorful and fresh at this moment, as it was when I first opened the book and began reading. In "The Vision: The Final Quest, and the Call", The first page caught my full attention and captivated every moment that was available, until I had finished it.

This book is a must read for all who are in pursuit of Biblical Christianity. I purchased it on a recommendation of a friend who suggested that it is a very, very valuable read. He is right! Every moment that I had available for reading, I was captivated by its pages.

Rick had a series of visions, which he wrote down as he recieved them. It is a story about a warrior who faced the terrible army of Satan, and saw those who had been brought into bondage, and stood among many who were destroyed by the enemy. The army was very large, and was divided into divisions, with each carrying a different banner. These included Pride, Self-Righteousness, Respectability, Unrighteous Judgement, and Jealousy.

He experiences many of his inner fears, and continues to fight the good fight, ultimately to experience the process of overcoming, and this only through total and complete humility and submission to Jesus. He becomes a great warrior prepared for the last great battle, and goes through a process of attaining the full armour of God in preparation for...

He grows to understand God's righteous judgements, humility, meekness, purpose, and upmost his love.

The revelations in this book shed light on many Biblical doctrines, helping the reader to gain a fuller understanding of some of the Bible passages that are applied.

I would rate this book right up there with "Hinds Feet on High Places", Hannah Hurnard. It is a heart changer, and a Good Book!

This is a very unusual book. One you start reading it, it is very hard to stop. Just when you think there could not possibly be any more surprises, you encounter another one.

This book has incredible Christian spiritual insight. It is one of those books that I had to buy for others close to me, and this combination book of The Final Quest and The Call is definitely a good buy.

Another book Rick Joyner came out with is The Surpassing Greatness of His Power. I am reading that now. He had another followup book to these two called something like Prophecy in the 21st Century which I also read and loved.

But, these books are so awesome -- very symbolic and intensely enlightening and very deeply Biblical and Christian and helps us see how the full armor of God operates--the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, the belt of truth, the shield of faith, the sword of the spirit and the Gospel of Peace, and how these operate in the spirit as Christians fight a spiritual battle against the devil, sometimes climbing higher and higher and getting out of reach of various weapons of the enemy, but then some go back down into the battle again to rescue others and so on. There is no way I can do this book justice in this little review, but I very highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars We NEED Wisdom in this hour. We find it in the REVELATION given within The Vision, January 15, 2007
This review is from: The Vision A Two-in-one Volume Of The Final Quest And The Call (Hardcover)
My husband and I have found Rick Joyner's book, The Vision, meets us "exactly where we are at". The Vision puts "into FOCUS" that which I believe the Holy Spirit HAS BEEN declaring within God's children through Christ...bringing clarity, bringing wisdom, bringing revelation.

The Vision, with the spiritual lessons found on every page, is for anyone who desires more of Christ, and wisdom in how to walk WITH HIM in victory. We LOVED the book for it confirmed many things the Holy Spirit had already communicated to our own hearts prior to the read; which stabilized us even more in The Truth. We thank the Lord to men who are willing to reveal to others what God has revealed to them.

Thank you Rick!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, January 30, 2006
This review is from: The Vision A Two-in-one Volume Of The Final Quest And The Call (Hardcover)
I think every Christian should have a copy of this book as well as the sequel "The Torch and the Sword". If you are serious about following the Messiah, then you need to read this book and you need to have your own copy of it. The book doesn't replace the Bible but it reinforces it's truths. It emphasises the battles that Christians have to face in these last days and there are valuable jewels of wisdom that Rick receives in his powerful and vivid visions that he experiences. I'd recommend it to anyone.
