5.0 out of 5 stars Great card for aging computer with AGP
I bought this card in early 2008 and still have it. I needed something for my 2002 computer that met the under 300 minimum PSU. I got it with MIR and it was less than the regular HD2400 Pro. I definitely noticed the difference after upgrading from a 64MB ATI video card that came with the computer. Movies look great with this card and my new 24" Dell monitor. Great buy if...

I've had this graphics card for a while now. The most it gets to is 30 FPS in 3D and 60 for 2D.

I advice you to stay away from this product. It constantly makes my computer restart everytime I play World Of warcraft.

I needed upgrade my video card in my older dell dimension 8100. Since i got an amazon 50 dollar gift card, i thought this might work. There was a gigantic difference between my old nvidia geforce2 mx/mx 400 and the visiontek radeon 2400 pro. the 2400pro handled older games like mx vs atv unleashed at max settings, and need for speed carbon at medium. The card had no problems installing. Overall, this is a very good video card for a great price.

Works fine under Windows 7. I simply needed a video card with a TV output to replace my old and incompatible ATI video card, and this product does that job fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars This does what it suppose to, January 12, 2009
This review is from: VisionTek V24P256OCAGP Radeon HD 256MB OverClock 2400 Pro AGP Video Card (Personal Computers)
This is a video card that is more here to handle HD video and light gaming. With the power consumption of 270W, this is never intended to be used for intense gaming. If you want gaming, the HD2600 pro or above will suit you better. I had an old NVidia 5600 that could work right anymore when I got a 26inch monitor with max resolution of 1920 x 1200. And this video card get the job done without forcing me to upgrade my computer entirely. This card is made for video and HD entertainment, and it does that very very well.
