Visionaries was the single most mind challenging television series i can recall while growing up. In an age where magic overcomes technology a group of fierce warriors most battle for the control of the land, the noble "knights of the magical light" also know as the Visionaries in one side, and the evil Darkling knights at the other. In an attempt to bring balance to the struggle, and peace over the land, a powerful wizard call Merklin invested a serial of magical powers upon the champions of both sides.

Each warrior received a token animal according to their personalities and abilities, in which they could metaform and gain the beast abilities. Also a group of them received magical wands which they could use to call upon greater powers for protection, wisdom, speed, knowledge, attack, and so on. Another members of each party receive the ability to invest magical energies upon machines to reactive them (as they were no use anymore) and use them for the battle.

The series had great plot, good animation (for the time being) and a solid story line. However it only lasted for one season (unexplainable!!). I've being waiting to get this DVD and also for a remake of this fantastic animation series.

Loves this animated series very much and I am glad because this dvd can be played perfectly on my dvd player even though it's a region 2 code. The region 2 code lacks of extra feature, only original script for every episode. Now I am hunger for region 1 and as far as I know the animated series should be release under bci - A Navarre Corporation Company. The company which released Dungeons & Dragons, She-Ra:The princess of Power, He-Man:The Master of the Universe and etc. but do not why the they still hold it. Hopefully they will release this one under their banner as soon as possible and lots of extra features! To anyone out there who loves this series very much, please visit BCI eclipse Official Website and write an email to encourage them to release Visionaries region 1 dvd.

Also, if you look hard enough, it is available for Region 1.

Even though this series only lasted one season it is still worth getting, they should make a movie (and not for kiddies).
