A painter and teacher, Alex Grey answers questions from an interviewer about visionary art and the metaphysics of creativity. He describes an approach that doesn't appear rooted in a particular philosophical tradition and which relies heavily on an expanded, hallucinogenic way of absorbing reality and finding inspiration. Almost half of the program consists of guided imagery or vision practices intended to give listeners access to stimulation from the "inner worlds." Though likely to be confusing to listeners who are grounded in conventional reality, the program will be fascinating to artists who like to push the bounds of experience in one way or the other. Alex Grey's inspiring look at how art can lead the individual to greater spiritual connectedness to all of creation is visionary. His story is so human and his techniques brave, filled with the courage to explore both the shadow and light of the Universe. The journey of his life's work and path, lead us to believe he is continuing to be filled with divine inspiration to wake up the planet to life and co-creation versus destruction.
