As an avid traveler without the balls or the funding to hire a helicopter, this set was perfect for me! I'd seen all of the Italy programs on my local PBS station and had been wanting to purchase the DVDs for a while. I was also curious about other episodes or programs in this series. Loved each and every one. Incredible camera work. Perfect virtual vacationing with the sound on or off. I would highly recommend this set. If you love to travel, and love European travel in particular, it is impossible to be disappointed by this series.

I did not buy the box set, but purchased all 'Visions Of' DVDs separately. I've watched all of them numerous times. If you're the typical American (overstressed, overworked and anxious as to the current state of your present employment) these videos provided me with the following benefits.
1. They provide a form of serene relaxation from the typical workday stress and anxiety that seems to be prevalent.
2. To all my fellow Americans who believe the good ole USA is the greatest country on the planet (I once included myself in this group), you'll be humbled to find that there are countries with as much or more to offer. Also as someone, who everytime they walk out their front door, has to pick up litter from their front lawn from passing drivers, I was absolutely amazed at how incredibly clean all the European cities were.
3. If you're not ecologically conscious, you should be after viewing all of these videos. Planet earth is truely a garden of eden in a poisonous and uninhabitable solar system. It deserves much better treatment by its human inhabitants.

Italy and France are very beautiful and rich. We saw them and we said "WOW" Beautiful. And they are better view than London, Germany and Scotland. We can watch them again.

I was trying to find something similar to Epcott's video VISIONS OF FRANCE, which was absolutely breathtaking. This does it. Filmed form a helicopter with a panoramic view, this series will take your breath away. As a Professor, I use the series to get students excited about study abroad in Europe. Mission accomplished. College kids are a tough audience. This will appeal to young and old alike.

These DVDs are truly wonderful. They really take you to the places like no other.
The narration is as good as it gets, and even the music is wonderful.
The DVD quality is among the best I've ever seen, because the footage was taken with an HD camera. Which also brings me to the only negative(?) point about this series.... Give me the series in Blu-Ray!!!

You will truly enjoy these DVDs.

I purchased this for a family member who has since moved to Germany and we all really enjoyed watching the spectacular aerial views and listening to the commentary on all 7 of these DVD's. Looking forward to our European trip, to experience these wonderful places in person. Well worth the money!

This is truly a lovely gift. You will enjoy countless hours of lovely scenery and photography which will transport you to Europe. The background music and narration gives you a warm sense of physically being in Europe.

I bought the combo package. I have enjoyed the PBS presentations of this series. I don't think, in retrospect, that this package is worth the money.
