After e-mails and phone calls, etc., I finally found out that the publisher (Avery) does not publish the pictures that go in this book anymore. When the author discusses a topic and asks the reader to "see figure 3.9", there is no "figure 3.9" It is extremely frustrating.

I like the book, but don't buy it from this publisher or you will not receive the entire book as it was intended and you won't know what is being discussed.

I contacted the publisher, I guess Avery took out the colour pictures. I liked the book until I was trying to look at the diagrams being referred to and was unable to find them - the descriptions are there, but have no picture to relate to.

Don't buy this book - the pictures are missing and you won't be getting a clear idea of what the author is talking about. If the publisher gets back to me or someone from www.bernardjensen.org with these pictures, I will return to this comment and make a note as such. If not, you can assume that I sit here with a book with missing pictures and continue to be frustrated with my bum purchase.

Iridology is new to me, this book brought me from the ground up. I loved the excellent pictures and clear explanations of the issues. Buy it for your friends or relatives and introduce them to the wonderful world of Iridology and eventually better health!

As other reviewers have mentioned, later printings from Penguin omit the color graphics and pictures. The book is also printed in India in English with all the photos and illustrations as contained in the original edition from Avery Pub. This book is an excellent quick read introduction, and beyond, for people interested in Iridology! I recommend it as a great book to buy for family and friends, giving them a ready reference for your zest into Iridology.

An excelent book with simple references very helpfull, keeps a stright forward language suitable for a lay man.
Recomend to proffesionals, beginers and public in general interested in a real scientific facts on iridology.
Great book to read and have it available in waithing room it sparks clients interest and undarstanding.

This book is a good introduction to Iridology. It gives a good breakdown of what Iridology is and includes the Iridology chart for both eyes along with photos of human irises for references. My only complaint: I wish there were more human iris photos in each section. But I'm only through the first few chapters, and I already know the basics of Iridology and how to read parts of the Iris for certain conditions. If your interested in Iridology this is a good starter book.

Began the book. Still have a lot more to go. However, I am loving the intricacies of
the EYE. Some points get "blah, Blah, Blah", boring, but that's the way it is in dealing
with 'reading' about sciences of anything. Good book though.

I purchased a copy of this book in late 2010 and the edition being offered by Amazon at this time is still missing the colored pictures. When you receive the book the back cover states that the color pictures are included, but the publisher has left them out. As stated in another review, you may obtain a copy of the book from the author. I did this and compared that copy and the amazon copy. Besides the color pictures issue, it became immediately apparent that the black and white drawings in the current amazon edition appear streaked and blurry, as if they were photocopied from the original book. The drawings in the copy I obtained from the author were crisp and clean. The book itself seems quite good (I haven't read thru the whole thing yet) and the one star is given for the bad publishing, not for the content of the book itself.

Very well thought out book. Gives a person a good starting point. Helpful to help determine if Iridology is something one wants to pursue further.
