This book was recommended to me by a friend and he made it sound like a must read piece of work. Well, it was all that he said and more! Visions of Heaven and Hell causes those who believe in life after death to think about the consequences we will endure for our actions and reactions to the experiences we have in our present lives and also how small we really are in realation to the universe around us. I would recommend this book to anyone who thinks that their life is perfect and totally fulfilled, having any and every materialist thing they ever desired. Believe me, after reading this book, you will find that the most important thing one can and should desire is an intimate relationship with God.

This work was written by George Larkin and published in 1711 with the title "The World to Come; The Glories of Heaven and the Terrors of Hell." It was later published as "The Visions of John Bunyan" and in the 19th century included in some collected works of Bunyan under the title of "The World to Come; The Glories of Heaven and the Terrors of Hell." However, it has long been known to have been written by Larkin more than 20 years after Bunyan died.

My brother gave me this book... I have many books that I start and never finish... I could not put this book down. I just loaned it to a friend and today ordered some to give as gifts. This put put some very clear mental images in my mind, which I needed. Before this book I knew I wanted to go to Heaven... but after reading this book, I am working each day on getting to heaven. Hell is a place I never want to see, this book gave me a good enough idea..

I hope the people I give these copies to for Christmas will also decide after reading this book that Heaven is where they want to go and will work toward that goal.

It is a short easy to read book... I wish I had read this book when I was 16 and not 46... but it is never too late... buy this book for yourself and I bet you will order some to give away also..

I ordered the book Visions of Heaven and Hell. However, what I received was a photo copy of the book stapled with a typed card stock cover. More than half the content was missing (since I had to purchase another book elsewhere). Very disappointed and will not order additional books.
