Most Helpful Customer Reviews

7 of 7 people found the following review helpful By Nancy Moran on September 1, 2001
Format: Audio CD
If there is such a thing as a female "Rat Pack", Barbara Morrison has more than paid the dues and joined the club. Along with an excellent band, she's got the scat of Ella Fitzgerald, the presence of Lena Horne and the range but not affectation of Sarah Vaughan. She delivers lyrics, she delivers melody and she delivers a jazz style faultlessly as well as thrillingly. On the basis of this album, I've acquired another two: "Ooh-Scoobie-Doo" and "Live Down Under". She is also the vocalist for the Doc Severinsen album, "Swingin' the Blues". Get this album and hold onto it. Barbara Morrison has been and is going places.
