Great quality product. Most I looked at were all plastic and did not look durable. The person I bought it for was elated with its quality and function. I would buy one for myself if I smoked. Great cigar lighter.

It's a slick/sleek lighter, pretty solid as well. Pull the slider, out pops the lighting mechanism and two blue flames burst out. I have the flame set to the lowest setting and it is still pretty large. Windproof as well, makes lighting whatever pretty easy. Lasts pretty long on a re-fill too. Sweet gadget

I've ordered 5 different lighters on Amazon; this is by far the best one. The two flames burn evenly, and it has a very slim and sleek design. The action is smooth, and it really burns the way a good torch lighter should. I would HIGHLY recommend this lighter!!!!

My first impression opening the box was a pleasant suprise for the price of the unit. The lighter had an interesting futuristic look and felt hefty in the hand. Having the dual burners slide out when you depress the starter slide was a novel idea. The dual burners make an easy task of lighting even the largest ring guage cigar. I take nothng away from this unit by how it looks or feels while using it.

I did have to take away a couple of stars for functionality. The burners continually went out on a medium to medium high valve setting. The gas seemed to flow sporatically out of the burners until I turned the valve all the way to its maximum setting. Now the burners stay lit and I see no gas flow issues. The downside to using the max setting is it goes through gas like crazy. You will be lucky to light 4 cigars before running the tank dry and having to re-fill. I can confirm other reviews I have read about this lighter on how much fuel you go through.

Just was checking out my old product reviews and saw this old one and wanted to say that I've had this lighter for over 3 years and it still works great. (I need to add that I don't smoke cigars too often.)

The vendor got it to me, lickity-split and it lights without any trouble. I think it's worth 5 stars and I'm ordering another for a buddy who's getting married. I hope it lasts for years to come....I've had a bad experience with a different lighter that I purchase in France -- and it barely lasted. This lighter does an awesome job with cigars and looks very cool. A friend of mine thinks it looks like it should cost a lot more and I agree.

I may have received a dud, but after filling it up, it wouldn't light. I adjusted the flame to numerous settings and no luck. I tried using a regular lighter to ignite it (worked) and found that every 10th or 15th attempt it would light on its own. Sent it back.

Update: a cigar officianado website recommended the Blazer PB207C Clear Pocket Butane Torch. Amazon had it prime. Ordered it. Love the clear cylinder to see the butane quantity (one 5 second fill is all they need). Works EVERY TIME.

I was looking for new torch for cigars and saw this lighter has fairly good buyer reviews on Amazon, but I just couldn't see $35 for the Visol brand when the exact same lighter is selling for $5.50 on Amazon with the same 3.5 ish buyer rating from Tiger.

What's the difference? Darned if I could tell. I read the item details between the two lighters. I tried to see what info I could find online about the companies, and then sheepishly (Since I wasn't buying from them) I asked my local tobacco shop guy what's the difference?

In short he told me that in the US most cigar lighters are made in the same few factories in China. The brand may have a different boxed and prices, but the only real difference was the warranty. With Visol they give a 1 year Warranty, but you have to send it to them at your cost. With Tiger it appears the store you buy it from deals with defectives. (Side note, Amazon is always great about return shipping and defectives.)

So it came down to $35 for one year warranty from Visol or for the same money I could buy 6 of the Tiger brand lighters

Guess what I bought? Two Tigers and 4 cigars with the money I saved.

This lighter only lasted 6 months. While it worked, it was very nice, although I didn't really like the flip out concept as much as I thought I would. Anyway, after about 6 months, it just stopped working. It didn't die out gradually or anything, I just picked it up one evening and it didn't work, and never worked again. I tried to re-fill it, I used a soft brush to brush off any dirt or whatever from the nozzle, but to no avail. During the 6 months I had re-filled it several times. Oh well. I guess the moral of the sory is find the cheapest cigar lighter you can and just expect to replace it twice a year.

Delivery time was quick but the lighter was defective right out of the box. Even before filling the liter, there was no spark to light the gas. This lighter looked nice but never once worked. I'm writing this as I wait for Gig Fly to send the RMA# so I can return it. Bummer and a hassell.!! MADE in China. Don't worry about the gift box, worry about the quality.

I liked the lighter but it died after about 4 months. I tried to refill it but got nothing.
