3.0 out of 5 stars Great book for learning VB programming, BUT..., December 4, 2008
What I liked about the textbook is that it has great visual content that shows you every step, from Graphical User Interface to coding the program. Each chapter walks you through one complete project and explains everything. Then they have you actually do the example program. At the end of the chapter they have several different exercises to practice your newly learned skills. What I did not like, is that the book explained the SAME THING three to four different ways. This made it long-winded and confusing! The book did not get to the point until the end of the example. There is a lot of content in the book to learn. I want it short and to the point. State the important facts and rules first, then fallow with examples.
