Book Description

September 16, 2011 1451130120 978-1451130126 1 Lam Spi
This manual visually demonstrates the most common regional blocks in anesthesiology and provides simple, effective direction at the point of care. Pocket sized, spiral bound, and laminated, it was created to be carried and used on the floor and in the operating room.

The first section focuses on the upper extremity, including ultrasound-guided interscalene, supraclavicular, infraclavicular, and axillary blocks and ultrasound-guided distal upper extremity. The second section covers the lower extremity, including ultrasound-guided subgluteal sciatic, popliteal, lumbar plexus, femoral nerve, and ankle blocks. The third section covers truncal blocks, including ultrasound-guided TAP and paravertebral blocks. Also included are guidelines on regional anesthesia in the anticoagulated patient.

2.0 out of 5 stars Way Overpriced April 27, 2013
Format:Spiral-bound
This item is way overpriced for an item that is essentially a quick overview of tasks your learn throughout training. The only upside is that each page is laminated and the pages are thick and will not get damaged easily. The downside to its only upside is that there are only a few pages! Not worth the money. Use evernote, Practical Approach to Regional Anesthesia, or something else.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rip off February 6, 2012
By David
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I purchased this after reading the introduction that this guide is for regional anesthesia discussing upper and lower extremities ultrasound guided blocks
but it is nowhere to be found in this book. The only ultrasound guided they discusses is inserting a central line.
