5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining history book
While this book isn't for the serious historian, it is quite entertaining for the casual reader interested in recent history. It has a pleasing format and an abundance of black and white photos.

2.0 out of 5 stars First Black African President, Kwame Nkrumah, was slighted!
It is surprising that a significant event like the independence of Ghana from Britain in 1957 ... the role of Kwame Nkrumah and the political liberation of Africa from Western Europe ... were given no place in the history of the twentieth century! Indeed the sun began to set on the Empire!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, January 21, 2011

This review is from: The Visual History of the Twentieth Century (Hardcover)
This is a great book, containing lots of information I had forgotten, or never knew.

I purchased it used, in great condition. The book arrived in "like new" condition, on time, and was better than promised.
