This review is from: Visual Information For Everyday Use: Design And Research Perspectives (Hardcover)
'Visual Information for Everyday Use: Design and Research Perspective" is distinctive from most books on visual information design in two aspects. First, the work is based on systematic and public research rather than private practical experiences and reflections only. Second, it is scholarly and scientific rather than popular. Most articles go beyond 'rules of thumb' and provide insightful explanations on why certain visual information designs work or not work (within the contexts). It is an important resource for designers who are interested in a deeper understanding of their work.
