5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent technical detail, screenshots, and wit September 18, 2012

Read Martin's Blog and enjoy learning solutions and how to find them yourself. Prosper from his struggles and misadventures.

Martin Hinshelwood is a joy to read. He does a great job describing problems and questions, then documenting both the solution and each step of the investigation. Along the way he takes time to describe related issues and design principals that directly apply to the topic at hand. It is fun to watch him logically investigate to a dead end, make some witty remark about the situation, then backtrack and find the trail to success. Yes, his writing and great annotated screenshots really make it a fun exploration rather than a dry KB or forum read. You also gain insights for how to investigate related issues in general because his process is documented just as well as his final solution.

If you need a flavor I'd recommend reading "one TFS Team Project to rule them all" as a good example. He's written several other blog entries I re-read periodically, but this one sticks out in my mind (because it is extremely useful concept as well as illustrated implementation).

ENJOY!
