Great Productivity Enhancer,

This is a very useful book at a fair price. Your improved productivity will pay for this book 10 times over.
The book could be improved if the author made the following changes: 1) Do not print it on recycled pizza boxes. The paper quality is terrible and makes it hard to read because you cannot tell and H from an 11, etc. 2) Start each tip with a little set of icons that show which version of VS each tip applies to. I was frequently disappointed that at the end of a 2 page explanation the final sentence would say, "This feature is only available in C# for VS 2002." Obviously, for someone programming in VB.Net for VS 2005 it would have been really nice to know this BEFORE I read the 2 pages. Other than that the book is great. It is a quick read and with a few short hours of easy reading you will be a much more productive programmer. BTW, the "Hacks" book from O'Reilly contains about 80% of the tips that are in this book, nevertheless I am glad I bought both.

This rather short book has a lot of insightful tips and tricks for VS.NET. Mostly it covers VS 2003 but a lot of tips is also applicable to VS 2005. The level of tips ranges from beginner to average, and I wish I had this book back when I started working with VS.NET. But even now after years of everyday experience with the product I still found a number of features I either didn't know about or didn't use their full potential.

A handy book of Tips and Tricks, just as the title says. Keep it on hand because you will use it alot. Every .NET developer should have this book. At slightly over 100 pages, it is concise and easy to navigate.
