The Visual UpTime Select 10/100/1000 Ethernet ASE enhances the functionality of the Visual UpTime Select Application and Infrastructure Performance Management system for Ethernet networks. The ASE provides up to 500 Mbps of detailed network traffic analysis and management. Designed for Wide Area Network (WAN) accesses such as DS3, NxDS3, and Ethernet to the premises, the 10/100/1000 Ethernet ASE can be deployed in a wide variety of locations within the network.The 10/100/1000 Ethernet ASE can be deployed in-line by using an Ethernet tap or off a SPAN port. Monitoring from an in-line tap or SPAN port on the Customer Edge Router (CER) can give visibility into traffic going into or coming out of the WAN. Sitting off of a router or switch within the Local Area Network (LAN), the 10/100/1000 Ethernet ASE can provide visibility into LAN traffic and help segment network and application issues.
