I get the distinct feeling some of the reviewers here were expecting something other than what they bought. Juice? Coconut milk? Who knows. I've always loved pure coconut water - was reminded of that fact most recently on a trip to Belize (Ambergris Caye actually). Paid a guy $2.50 to climb a tree and bring me a coconut which we then hacked a piece off of with a machete and stuck a straw in it. Magical! That's what amazed me about this product - it is EXACTLY what it's represented to be - pure coconut water. Every time I drink it I'm back on the island for a moment :) If you like coconut water, you'll love this product. If you're looking for something that taste like the stuff that your kids drink out of juice boxes, then you're barking up the wrong tree (forgive the pun). Coconut water. Pure and simple. And an amazing rehydrant - I run and workout pretty intensely - this stuff has quickly taken the place of everything else I used to drink. In fact aside from water (and coffee - gotta have my coffee LOL) it's about the only thing I drink. Healthy, refreshing, and all natural. Doesn't get any better than that. Once I found it here on Amazon and discovered the auto-ship program, it took the place of virtually every other drink product I had in my house. Great stuff at a great price - thanks Amazon :)

Love coconut water, don't love the flavors,

I love coconut water, and I've purchased both ZICO and Vita Coco brands in the past. I tried out this variety pack because I love ZICO's flavoured options, but I was very disappointed in Vita Coco's flavours. Unlike Zico, they were heavy, losing the signature light-and-refreshing quality that makes the coconut water such a great drink. Also they had a lot more sugar and sodium than the plain coconut water does! Lastly, they all had hints of the nasty aftertaste that comes after drinking poor-quality artificial flavouring. If you want flavoured coconut water, stick to Zico, it's worth the extra few bucks! But if you want plain coconut water, VitaCoco's always a pretty good bet.

My sister recommended this product to me because I need more potassium and I'm not big on bananas or pills. I have become an addict!! This is like a treat for me I like it that much. I feel good drinking it and my skin feels good. It's all natural and it really quenches my thirst. When I took my first sip I had a little shock, wasn't what I was expecting, but now I look forward to it every day. I just ordered more. The pina colada one is my favorite. I like to put them in the freezer for a couple hours and then pull them out so they are almost frozen and drink them as they unthaw.
UPDATE: The packs now come with Pineapple instead of Pina Colada. Pineapple is my favorite now and even better than the pina colada one was.

I needed a natural hydrant without the sugar spike; Vita Coco Coconut Water is exactly what the doctor ordered. I love the flavored waters, but the plain is wonderful too. A real thirst quencher!

I've found Vita Coco to be as good as other brands, and often cheaper after coupon or discount. Coconut water is kind of an acquired taste though. Not very sweet and not a very strong coconut flavor either. Don't confuse it with "coconut milk" which is a totally different product made by squeezing the coconut meat and has a high fat content; up to 20 percent. This is the pure liquid found inside green coconuts and is fat free and great for keeping hydrated or to help balance out a diet that's too high in sodium. If you haven't tried it before, one of the flavor infused varieties might be a good place to start, and make sure it's nice and cold. To me, the plain variety is good, even at room temperature, but it might be a little unexpected if you haven't tried it before.

I love this product, not just because it's great for you, but tastes great too. The original, non-juice flavored version is great, and the fruit puree in the flavored ones are great as well. I started drinking coconut water about a year ago when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. It was recommended by her nutritional for it's [too many to list] benefits.
Most amazingly, and something I doubt most people realize, coconut water has one of the highest sources of electrolytes known to man. It's also identical to human blood plasma which makes it the universal donor. Plasma makes up 55% of human blood. Many peoples lives have been saved in 3rd world countries by the coconut IV. Strange, right!? I thought so, but very interesting! Check it out: [...]

You say you're not too sure about this coconut-water stuff people are calling one of the next new fads? Well, this is a good way to find out. I did, though I once drank it fresh from trees in Central America. But this is better because they use the right kind and age of coconuts for juicing. I didn't know what I was doing.
The flavors may ease the burden for you. But you know what? I much prefer the straight coconut water over the flavors. To me, tangerine and coconut just seem to fight each other. A tip: also look into Roland Coconut Water with Pulp, 12-Ounce Can (Pack of 24), if you're like me and enjoy the coconut life. And do a little research. This stuff is good for you.

I started drinking coconut water after taking Bikram Yoga which is a 90 minute yoga class in 105 degree heat. I once weighed myself before and after class and found I lost 8 pounds during a single class. All water weight I'm sure but clearly you lose a lot of electrolytes. Coconut water is the ideal drink after heavy sweating. As others have mentioned in their reviews coconut water is somewhat of an acquired taste. I found that even when switching from brand to brand I had to drink a few of the new brand before I liked it. My first Vita Coco I was like "eh, it's so so". But after drinking a couple more I like it just as much as the more expensive Zico. The Vita Coco Variety Pack is a great way to try several different flavors to see if you want to settle on one or just want a little variety in your coconut water.

My first order was for straight coconut water (recommended by Dr Oz) which was way too sweet for my taste although my husband loved it. I then ordered a variety pack and I found the flavor I like and which I will order. I, therfore, suggest to get the variety pack first unless you are a 100% lover of coconuts.
