Pride and Prejudice,

This review is from: VITAL SIGNS: Crip Culture Talks Back [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is easily one of the most powerful videos about the disability community made to date. The film touches upon key details that impact the social reception of disability and provides an important platform for people with disabilities. There is a raw, edgy quality to the performances and videomaking in this work that gives it a feeling of true underground cinema. One has the sense while watching it that there is a spirited movement informing our contemporary re-valuation of disability and that these efforts will spearhead something truly unique in our comprehension of human differences that few other social movements have articulated.

Crip Culture Review,

This video can help you understand what it is like to be a part of the disabled community - whether or not you are a person with a disability. The series of first person vignettes and artistic performances gave me a greater appreciation for both positive impacts (e.g., pride) and negative impacts (e.g., stigma) of disability.
