I had tried these from a health store and I was not impressed but they are so filling and hey kicked my sweet tooth that I sacrificed taste. I decided to stock up on some nosh items for exam week and I chose this big box.
First off...the ones from the factory are A BILLION times better than the ones I bought off the refrigerator shelf in the health store...I took one bite and I was sooo impressed i had to call family members. I think the difference is that the store did not store them as directed, simply refrigerating them when they are to be FROZEN immediately!!! trust me....i think it makes all the difference between a moist delicious treat and a dry fibrous diet cake.

I've used these in the past as a sort of hunger-stopper. The muffins have fiber and some flavor--especially the chocolate ones--but they also have a strange undertaste/aftertaste. When I've taken them to family gatherings, most members say they're awful, and the kids spit them out. But those of us who are older and like to be regular and not have big calorie treats will eat these.
Don't expect real muffin flavor. These have a lot of odd ingredients (see the list). Consider these a diet aid--filling and vitamin-enriched. With milk, the chocolate ones are adequate. But I've tried the sugar-free (oh, my gosh, horrible) and the corn muffins (not very good) and the apple berry bran (also not very good). I can only safely recommend the chocolate varieties. Those seem to have enough cocoa and chips to cover up the weird taste. It's a useful food for those times when you have to have something "cakey" without killing your points quota for the day (for you Weight Watchers folks.) If you must try Vitamuffins or Vitatops, the chocolate is definitely the way to go. This sampler (with free shipping) is probably your best bet. And trust me--have with milk or latte. That helps. :) M

Good value and good taste,

I'm a long-time lover of Vitatops, and really enjoyed the sampler box. Except for the peanut butter flavored ones, which weren't to my taste, everything was delicious. I love the rich chocolate taste and the fresh texture. I also love that these things (both the Vitatops and the Vitabrownies) are a good size for being only 1 Weight Watchers point.
My favorites from the sampler box were the ones with the pomegranate bits inside. Very, very tasty. Remember -- when the box arrives, put everything in the freezer! If you don't freeze Vitatops, they'll get stale fast. When you are ready to eat one, pop it in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds. I just leave the wrappers on when I microwave them. Also, if you top a warmed up Vitatop with some low-cal ice cream, it makes a fantastic healthy substitute for a brownie sundae.

I'm doing WW so finding a good 1 point snack is always nice. If I don't make sure I have variety in food choices I don't think I could still with it. I thought the flavor for most were really good. I didn't care for the cranbran one or the bluebran so much. The banana nut and the chocolate ones I really liked. The cornbread one is good if you add some butter. Little disappointed with the chocolate peanut butter chip. Doesn't taste much like peanut butter; it doesn't have a bad flavor though. I thought the size was excellent though for what you got. Most 1 pt snacks that are chocolately aren't too big! The brownies were the best part of the variety though. Its not the same as a home cooked one obviously, but helps beat those junk food cravings.
I've read a lot of reviews about not liking the taste and what not. Yes, you can tell some of them are health food. I don't notice because this is how I've been eating for a while now, so I really enjoy them. Don't expect it to taste like a giant bakery muffin- you'll be disappointed. If you don't want to spend so much on the variety pack, at least here, Festival and Woodmans sells a few kinds. Depending where youre location somewhere might as well. Its about $5 for a 4 pack. You can find them in the organic section in the freezer normally. Overall, I'd order these again. The size is a good amount for my points in a day. Theyre convenience due to microwaving in the package and being able to take on the go. I really enjoy the taste of most of them. Only thing I dont care for is the cost. I do like how amazon has free shipping though, because if you order on their website you have costly shipping as well!

A Healthy Chocolate Fix!,
This review is from: Vitalicious Chocolate Super Sampler, 2-Ounce Units (Pack of 20) (Grocery)
I absolutely love the chocolate Vitatops and the brownies are a decadent bonus. At only 1 ww point a piece these are a nutritional bargin! I enjoy them for breakfast, a quick snack, and when I am have a craving for something sweet. These are not overly sweet, but always seem to satisfy the urge for chocolate. This pack has a nice variety and is a great value.

I was skeptical about purchasing these because you know the old adage - if it's sounds to good to be true, it probably is. However, these are amazing. I am a chocolate fanatic, and these do the trick. Plus I don't feel guilty. I'm on my second purchase. The triple chocolate Vitatops and the chocolate brownies ROCK!!

These are great chocolate treats without knocking off a healthy routine. They're good at room temperature, but are best heated up. 30 seconds in the microwave is good. They're also good toasted once they're defrosted. Keep in mind that they need to stay frozen. Once thawed, you probably want to eat them within a day or two. We eat them as desserts, but they work for light breakfasts on the run or snacktime, too.

The brownies are da bomb. I keep them in the freezer and take one to work in the monring - at 4pm when the chocolate craving hits, presto, I have a freshly thawed 1 point Weight Watchers snack and it's very satisfying. I like the vita tops too, but at room temperature they have a bit of that fake / artificial taste a lot of low-cal products have. If you put them in the oven for 5 minutes to melt up a bit, they're very good.

I got a sampler pack with most of the flavors in it. I wasn't sure what to expect. I am a muffin addict and was hoping that this would help that. I have tried these every morning for a week. First of all they are great to control hunger! They do not taste exactly like a muffin, but they are a pretty good substitute. I have not noticed any after taste at all. The chocolate muffins (especially the fudgy peanut butter one) are cakey and chocolatly. The corn muffins are great toasted and taste most like a "regular" muffin. All in all, I will be back, because they do help and they do taste pretty darn good!

I have been doing WeightWatchers for over a year now. I've seen the vitamuffins advertised and had always been interested. A one point pretty good sized dessert is very appealing. Sadly they are not as mind blowing as some reviews would have you believe. You don't want anything sweet afterwards, but that's only because you are left with a weird taste in your mouth. You are also pretty full because they are filling and have a lot of fiber.
