Honestly, I'm not exaggerating! I recently lost a lot of weight and I use these muffin tops for dessert now. I make whoopie pies by cutting one in half and mixing fat free whipped topping with strawberry yogurt. Another recipe I like is using fat free whipped topping with a teaspoon of peanut butter mixed together. I got these recipes from the cookbook Hungry Girl's 200 Hundred under 200! My kids love these whoopie pies too!

If you like cake, if you like chocolate.....but are always saying "no" because of the calories/fat, then you need to try these. They are SO good. Only 100 calories, with 5 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein! And when you put one of these in the microwave for 20 seconds....you get a warm chocolate muffin top with gooey chocolate chips, milk chocolate chunks and white chocolate chips. These satisfy any craving I have for chocolate! I'm so glad Amazon carries these. (Important tip......these are freshly made so make sure you freeze them as soon as you get them!!!)

I have never tried a vititop product before so this was my first experience with them. I didn't have high hopes going into this but I had read reviews on other websites that made me curious enough to order them.
I chose to microwave mine, the same directions seem to be put in all the packages recommending you toast them but I don't own a toaster oven and couldn't see putting chocolate chunks that would melt in a pop up toaster. I nuked one for 15 secs and it come out piping hot the chocolate chunks were now melted and oozing out of the vitatop. Trying them for the first time with small expectations was a delight. The muffin top was very moist with a dense spongy texture. The bites with out the chocolate chunks were not overly chocolaty. I wouldn't say bland just not as a burst of yummy chocolate flavor you got with the chunks. I have not tried one not microwaved, and I don't think I will if I can help it. The melted chocolate to me is what makes it that much more delicious. For those who have never tried them, do not expect a rich chocolate brownie taste or something close to that nature. It isn't comparable to that. What it is though is a great yummy way to get fiber and curve those chocolate cravings you have if your trying to diet or eat healthier.

As a health nut who has tried almost every calorie-conscious product in the market, these are a favorite.
Simply delicious, moist, very chocolatey by any standard, even full-fat products. What I like about them is their nutritional content as well--full of vitamins d,e, iron, calcium, B, etc.

I first learned of the vita muffin tops from the weightwatchers online site. Boy am I glad I did! I've tried the bran and appleberry which are also very good, but I love chocolate and the Triple Chocolate Chunk are superb. Of course you need to freeze them upon receiving, then when you're ready for one, just pop in microwave for about 30 seconds and you have a tasty, satisfying snack instantly. There's nuggets of choclate chips and also appears to be a little fudge on the inside. So good!!!

The best of a diet-aid muffin/muffin top series--but don't expect "heavenly" flavor...,

I've used Vitamuffins and Vitatops in the past as a sort of hunger-stopper. They have fiber and some flavor--especially the chocolate ones-- and don't use up too much of your daily calorie allotment; but they also have a strange undertaste/aftertaste.
The triple chocolate is my fave of the tops. When I've taken them to family gatherings, most members say they're awful, and the kids spit them out. But those of us who are older and like to be regular and not have big calorie treats will eat these. Don't expect 100% real muffin flavor or texture. These have a lot of odd ingredients (see the list). Consider these a diet aid--filling and vitamin-enriched. They serve a purpose, but a totally fulfilling chocolate experience is not one of them. With milk, the chocolate ones are adequate. But I've tried the sugar-free (oh, my gosh, horrible) and the corn muffins (not very good) and the apple berry bran (also not very good). I can only safely recommend the chocolate varieties. Those seem to have enough cocoa and chips to cover up the weird taste. It's a useful food for those times when you have to have something "cakey" without killing your points quota for the day (for you Weight Watchers folks). If you must try Vitamuffins or Vitatops, the chocolate is definitely the way to go. This sampler (with free shipping) is probably your best bet. And trust me--have with milk or latte. That helps. :) M

When I saw these on the Hungry Girl website with rave comments I couldn't wait to try them. I ordered the special, buy 1 get 1 free package and received them yesterday. Tried one this morning and shared one with a friend and we both agree that they did not taste very good at all. Does not have that rich chocolate flavor I was expecting. Weight watcher cakes are a hundred times better than these. So if you're expecting to eat a rich chocolate flavored cake, then don't waste your money. These barely even taste chocolate. I so wanted to like these.

If you crave a delicious chocolate fix without very many calories...this is perfect. I sometimes don't even wait for them to thaw. One of my favorite snacks and very satisfying.

I LOVE Vitatops. They are so expensive though. So when a friend told me I could order them on Amazon, I was all over it! They even have more flavors than what is available in my local grocery store. The Vitatops arrived quickly and I popped them in my freezer. I will certainly order these again!

YUMM,

This is my absolute favorite of all of their flavors. However i buy my vitatops from the actual website (they always have deals going on.) You can eat them frozen, microwaved, toasted- which is good for this kind bc then the chocolate chunks melt and it's just heavenly- although you have to be careful bc the second you cook them too long they're kinda dry. BUT still worth the 100 calories in my opinion :) all the chocolate flavors rock- i'm not a huge fan of the non chocolate, but to each his own. try these. it's worth it!
