I highly recommend giving these supplements a shot!

It has all of the recommended herbs I found online for increasing milk supply, so that was nice.

I've tried several lactation supplements, More Milk Plus, More Milk Special Blend, straight Fenugreek, the one made by Gaia... and this by far has been the easiest dosing and best results for me - 20% more milk overall. More Milk worked pretty well but is more expensive and restrictive dosing (no water 15 mins before and after). With Vitanica's LactationBlend I take 1 capsule 2x a day which no restrictions. Its nice to take with food if you have digestive issues as well. I first picked up a bottle at Sprouts Farmer's Market but Amazon beats their price by a landslide. In comparison this formulation also has oatstraw which may be the advantage over More Milk Plus' formula. More Milk Plus' Special formula added Goats Rue, which this already has. My only Q is if these are all organically grown. I have had such great results I have this on a subscribe and save. Don't hesitate to give this one a try - it has all the known milk producing herbs! Borage seed, fenugreek, milk thistle, fennel, nettles, blessed thistle, vervain, hops, oatstraw, red raspberry, goat's rue and chaste tree berry.

This formula is not artfully created. It's a bunch of the most common natural galactagogues put together (herbs that boost/create milk supply) without a clearer focus on the different properties of the herbs (temperature, other indications, etc). Many herbs in this blend are drying/astringing...this wouldn't be a problem if they were taken individually, but putting them all together could be harmful to nursing mothers who are especially frail/weak/depleted/dry already.

I took it every day for a month, all the while noting changes in the rest of my body. My milk supply definitely increased, to the point of having more milk than my baby was drinking! I noticed the milk was more watery and clear (opaque-ish without much of the yellow thicker, more nutrient-dense hindmilk). After a few days of this, I noticed my joints were getting dry and they cracked a lot, my muscles were constantly sore and I felt more tired than usual. This made sense as I had not increased my fluid intake, so the water was being taken from my own fluid sources causing dehydration. I know these issues can easily be attributed to being a new mother, in recovery, but I made sure to rule that out by testing the effects of the product on and off after having taken it for a month. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

If you're going to try this product:

- Start small - 1 capsule a day
- Increase your fluid intake - water, juices, coconut water (this last one is great for restoring electrolyte levels. Be careful though as it is a very cooling drink and the chill could get transferred over to baby and cause stuffiness/cold symptoms)
- Increase your intake of monounsaturated fats - nuts, avocado, oils, chia seeds, hemp seeds.

It has worked really well. I was referred by another breast feeding mother. On some days I have had to take a double dose but within 24-48 it kicked in really well.

Helpful in boosting milk production and maintaining it. Recommended by lactation consultants to take 3 times per day to see best results.

Every person is different and this product just didn't do anything for me. I only used this product for a few weeks though, so not sure if that's enough time to have it kick in.

I can't give all the credit to these vitamins, but taking them along with lactation cookies and mothers milk tea brought my milk supply way up. I was able to stop supplementing and am now exclusively breast feeding!

Helped Jumpstart my milk supply! I barely made any milk with the 1st baby (1 ounce at the most) and with baby #2 I started this right away. I made 4 ounces each pump. I had a beast reduction 10 yrs ago. I highly recommend giving these supplements a shot!

About 10 days into breastfeeding my 3rd baby, it seemed like I was not producing as much as I had with my other 2 babies. He wasn't gaining weight and my breasts didn't seem to be that full and were never leaky. I purchased this at Whole Foods and paid about $20 (I was in a big hurry). I thought it was a good sign that this and another brand were the only they carried. It could have been a coincidence, but within 2 days I was making more milk. He started gaining weight and is now 3 months old and very large for his age. I took 2 per day for 5 days, then dropped to one per day. I am writing this review now because I ran out 4 days ago and I can tell I'm not making as much. So am doubtful that it's just another coincidence and am now a believer. Will be buying more.
