Actually I thought I was buying a Vivotek camera. Turns out I got scammed. I bought this camera to replace a $200 camera that had died. I figured I was buying a better product. But as it turns out, it's not a Vivotek but a counterfeit or knockoff or whatever you call it. What I call it is just another junk camera with a $300 price tag. The image was just about the same as all the other $200 cameras we have. Now it's useless at night because 90% of the LEDs are dead.

UPDATE: I contacted the company and they said the repair was under warranty, however I had to provide them a credit card to pay for any "other" costs to repair it and cover the cost of shipping it back to me. If it's under warranty, that means they should pay to at least send it back to us after it's fixed and some companies even pay to return it to them. And there certainly should not be any "other" costs to fix it. I could tell by the way the guy was talking this was a con. That after they get it back they "find" all sorts of things that the warranty does not cover and the only way to get it back is agree to pay them more money to fix it. Been there, done that, never again.

This is a scam company.

I'm an electrical engineer and am familiar with IP cameras, so I bought a pair of these cameras as a cheap/simple solution to a warehouse monitoring job. First problem, the webviewer did not show the streaming image, except from one legacy winXP system. Called customer support - never got through! Emailed - no response in the last 7-days. Second problem, the documentation does NOT list the image URL, so, unless you purchase the Vitek image server, there is NO WAY TO RECORD IMAGES to a 3rd party image server. Second call to support, same result. Isn't that why you buy these cameras, to record the image stream? Save your time, buy an Axis or Vivotek.

Hey, what do you know, finally got through to Brian at Vitek customer service. "Upon further research, the cameras you have will not work with the free NVR software we have available on our website. If you would like to use these cameras with a Vitek NVR, you will need to purchase our Multi-Vendor software from an authorized Vitek distributor." No thanks Brian, I'll send them back.
