This is a wonderful little book that can be read in one sitting and can be come back to time and time again. It will definitely go in my collection of health books. The information is neatly organized, approached in a very friendly manner and at the same time, written with the scientific background that I was looking for. The book begins by discussing the history of vitex, an herb that has been used for over 2,000 years to assist in restoring and balancing women's hormones and aiding with PMS, menopause, irregular menstrual cycles, fribroid cysts and even teenage acne! The book discusses prior and current research, explains thoroughly how vitex actually restores hormonal balance and describes the different ways to take it and at what recommended dosage. The appendix does an even more thorough job for those of us wishing to read up on research studies done in recent times in relation to vitex in treating various women's health conditions. Wonderful read if you are considering taking this herb or are currently taking it and are wondering how it actually works.
