excellent music, OK performance, November 24, 2006

As an avid fan of Vitezslav Novak, I bought this CD without wasting a penny. Bergische Symphoniker plays well together. However, I wish there was more spirited, "Czech" character in the performance (especially in the short articulation passages), and I also felt there was a great ack of dynamic contrast. For Serenade in F, I highly recommend listening to the Ukranian Chamber Orchestra's CD, which is currently out of print.
